26/05/4013 AD – 12:00 – Iceikco – Ultrayan Alliance Secret Base – Training Hall
There was a make-shift training hall inside the hidden mountain base; it was a large, dull, open dome shape. The ground was just a layer of rock, the walls were being held up by thin sheets of metal, and there was only one door. The silver-coloured Hyperzio, along with a white Wyperian, a blue Wyperian, and a brown Wyperian were standing in the centre of the room, looking around.
"This place is a dump!" Daniel commented, his brown, bulky armour was covered in heavy weaponry. Each member of the exploration team had changed their armour structures. Oliver's design was white, sleek, and bare, with only a large, curved, blade fully embedded into his right arm that differed in terms of weaponry. Anna's armour was blue and was equipped with a large contraption on her back.
"This is what I have come up with", Anna said proudly as her backpack split off into six mechanical arms. The two arms at the top were thin harpoon launchers with strong cables that ran through the backpack. The second set of arms were highly-pressurised water cannons; each of these arms sported two barrels. The final, pair of arms each carried different equipment, breaking Anna's otherwise-symmetrical design; the left arm featured a small torpedo tube, and the right arm was a steel net launcher; the net was designed to strongly constrict even the most forceful of Wyperian movements. Her helmet bore three spikes, same as Hyperzio and Daniel, and her boots had small rotors attached to the back.
"So, you adapted your gear to suit a water-based combat role?" asked Hyperzio.
"Yep!" exclaimed Anna.
"You're aware that Iceikco is, you know, made of ice?" laughed Daniel.
"Of course I am!" Anna snapped. "That fact alone only renders one of my weapons useless! But if we descended to Earth, I'd have an advantage on a planet that is primarily water".
"Yeah, yeah, yeah", Daniel waved off Anna's remarks. "You're still using useless boots rather than jet boots like a normal Wyperian".
"So, what are you planning to use, Daniel?" Hyperzio asked.
"Well I looked through the data base at all your army's little toys, and I found out about your 'Dragoon Tank'", responded Daniel. "I took the weapons off the tank and stripped them down. I was able to keep the same power of the heavy energy cannons and hoist it onto my back. I have a small rocket launcher on my right arm and a chain cannon on my left". His armour mirrored his words: three massive, rectangular, energy launchers attached like a heavy backpack, a single-barrelled chain cannon on his left arm and three anti-armour missiles on the right. Tele-Mag systems had been directly incorporated into the weapons.
"And you?" Hyperzio turned his attention to Oliver who, unlike the other exploration team members, did not have the typical helmet. Oliver had taken Sollikarr's recommendation and equipped the Data Panel and matching Scan Visor.
"As I won't have the advanced weapon systems that you guys have, I have chosen to focus on close combat", Oliver explained. He demonstrated how his arm blade could be extended outwards, essentially turning his arm into a scythe-like blade. All four of the new Wyperians had equipped the standard Wyperian assault belt, Anna and Oliver had assault rifles attached to their belts as well. The rifle's weapon code was 'MLRIA', and it was the standard fully-automatic weapon for the U.A.; the code stood for 'Medium-Long Range, InAccurate'.
"About this rifle..." Oliver started to inquire as he looked over the smooth design; it had a large, curved magazine, a laser sight attached to the side and no iron sights at all. "Why is it labelled as 'inaccurate'? Surely you wouldn't want that? I only brought it because it seemed to be one of the only bullet weapons available that wasn't ridiculously oversized". Oliver glanced over at Daniel's chain cannon as he said this.
