"That was quite some speech", Anna walked alongside Henry down a sloped, tarmac area of the school grounds; her usual cheerful persona had returned. "So how do you know so much on these supposedly 'forbidden texts'?" Her face beamed curiosity and her eyes locked on to Henry's face, she wanted any sign of facial expression or eye movement recorded.
"Well maybe I just found some old written documents or something", Henry calmly replied.
"That was your excuse the last thirty times I've caught you with more information than a normal person should have! You're not even trying to hide things anymore!" Anna frowned and then started jumping up and down. "Come onnnnn!" Anna slipped and crashed into a group of boys standing towards the bottom of the slope.
"Sorry!" she pleaded.
"Hey, watch it!" the boy pushed Anna away before looking up and fixating on Henry. "You! Tell me about how you earn Angel-Rank! You and your idiot friend interrupted our class and ruined it for everyone!" Henry recognised the boy; a run-of-the-mill bully who was one of many who was suddenly interested in education starting from that last lesson.
'Idiot friend? Is he referring to Daniel? He's not my friend, are these guys clueless? Oh, wait...' Henry thought before addressing the bully's claim. "The reason why that information was held secret is because they didn't want idiots like you running amok in murderous rampages".
"Murderous rampage, huh?" the bully replied, he quickly pulled Anna back to his side by the collar of her shirt. "So I can just keep hitting this girl until you tell me the most efficient way of getting that? Who knows? Maybe I'll get some more points the longer the fight goes on?" His back-up crew started laughing. Henry glared at Anna's captor and, without hesitating, smashed his fist directly into the bully's ugly face with blinding speed, knocking him to the ground and releasing Anna from his grasp.
"You think this is a challenge for me?!" Henry shouted; a bit of his old Hyperzio persona started to surface. "Humans are nothing compared to Wyperians! Try killing one of them before you get the bright idea of threatening Anna again!"
"How dare you?!" the bully got up with the help of his gang and brushed himself off. Anna quickly hid behind Henry.
"Yes. You threaten to literally kill my friend and I'm the unreasonable one here?!" Henry taunted, his anger flaring. "All of you are scum! You think an attitude like that will help you defeat a Wyperian? Touch them and they will tear your empty head clean off!" The bullies stepped back, shaking but ready to fight again. A small crowd of students gathered around them to watch.
Before the fight could escalate, Daniel ran up to the skirmish in a panicked state.
"Ailutarya City has just been attacked!" he could barely catch his breath. "New Side fell shortly before that!"
"Oh no..." Henry's word's slumped; he and Daniel appeared to be the only one who understood the gravity of the situation. 'He might be an egotistical maniac, but it appears he has the brains to back up his somewhat questionable attitude. I need to grab Anna and head-'
"Ailutarya...?" Anna interrupted his thoughts with a faint question, looking more traumatised than anything Henry had ever seen in his life.
'That's right, Anna's family lives there!' he thought.
"Yes! And I'm sorry for your family Anna, I'm sure they'll be fine! But we can't worry about that right now!" Daniel said, showing unusual sympathy. "We need to take shelter, ASAP!"
