"Do I look okay?" I asked Guru Atri. I had started to feel restless.

"You look wonderful."

Almost all the students were returning to their homes. We get one month a year as a break from Gurukul. All the students visit their homes. That is when my grandparents told me that maa wanted me to come to Kailash for the break.

I saw Nana. I smiled at him. "Maa asked me to come to Kailash. She said that she would send my brother to pick me up." I told him.

"I've heard." He answered with a smile. He put his hand on my head. "Take care. Don't trouble your mother. Don't start making demands for silly things. Your family doesn't live like us. Your father almost lives like a hermit. Be careful of what you demand from him. Don't make him angry. Take care." He gave me a paper. "Give this to your mother. This is a list of allergies you have. The things you like and things you don't like. Give this to her so she would know."

"Nana, it is not required for me to give my likes and dislikes. I'll just eat what maa will make." I argued.

"Sonakshi, stop arguing about it. Just give it to her."

I looked at the list. There was also another list of things. They were listed with the title 'Do Not Feed These To Alaknanda'.

"Nana, you've also put a list of things not to be given to Adi. They're all sweets. Adi loves sweets. Also, why are you giving this to maa? Shouldn't you be giving that half to mama?"

"Not much use to give it to your mama. He loves eating sweets himself. How will he stop giving them to his own child? I know that they both will end up together eating all the sweets. It doesn't take long for 'chit-chor' to become 'makhan-chor' to being the most mischievous person. He'll shrug his shoulders and sit down to eat them with her and tell her stories of it." Guru Atri and I both started laughing at that. "Then again, I know for a fact that just one day. One day without you and Alaknanda will come running to Kailash to meet you. Then your mother will ask her to stay for lunch. She will not say no. Just like how she makes chappan bhog for her brother, she will make some 11 sweet items. After eating all of that, she will be in a sugar rush. After that it is impossible to stop her from getting hyperactive. A hyperactive Alaknanda is no less troublesome than Narada. Not to mention, being hyper active on Kailasha isn't the best idea."

I laughed.

"Just say it in simple words, Nana. You will miss her."

He refused to say but I laughed.

"Don't worry. We will come to see you. You take care of yourself. Don't make things difficult for nani. Eat properly. Stop associating with Shekhar Uncle. Even if he says that he's only inviting you for a get together. He will say something that will raise your BP. You'll get into an argument with him again and then say a hundred things back. Once again, all that meditation will go to waste. So, stop trying to talk to him. No need to get friendly." I told him.
