I sort of used to wonder how early humans lived. You know, when NCERT textbooks used to start teaching about the history subject in fifth class. They start teaching about early man. The days were comfortable with the light of the sun. They ate what was available to them from the forests. Like plants had become advanced more than humans during that time. Earth was more advanced than humans.

At that time, I used to wonder. How did they manage to survive the darkness of night?

Now, I had begun to understand how distraught the early humans were living in the dark caves at night. Not even knowing where to go, what to do, and what will happen to them.

"Where am I??" I tried to ask in the deep darkness of the abyss. Or, at least, it seemed like an abyss.

"Oh... It seems that she's awake. Go tell Maharaj." I heard someone.

"Hello, where exactly am I?" I asked.

No reply came.

"Bro, how difficult is it to actually speak up?"

Still no answers. Such annoying people. I tried to remember what I knew last.

"Alaknanda, I need your help. There are Rakshasas behind me." I got a call from Nandini.

"Nandu, sweetie, I'm myself under attack. Also, it is almost impossible for me to come to Rishikesh right now. I'm near Badrinath."

I swore under my breath for not taking the jeep for an escape. It would have been an easy way to drive away. I should curse my inner heroine kind of behavior. Always getting into shit I cannot handle alone. Actually, that never happened before. This is a rare opportunity.

"Adi, I know that. I'm in Badrinath myself. I came here for you."

"What!!! Why the hell?" If I thought I was an idiot then she was a bigger idiot to come waltzing into trouble. "Which idiot asked you to come behind me?"

"I just wanted to say bye to you."

"Yeah, babe, a call would have sufficed. Now, where the hell are you?" I asked.

She shared with me her live location.

I sighed. I sent her my live location. I then slowly tried to track her location. Constantly in her contact about where the rakshasas are.

I had escaped 5 kidnapping tries previously. Even earlier, they had come to try and take me away but I had managed to escape them. Once, I blended in with the general people. The second time, I took a refugee in a temple. Especially in Narayan's temples. The energy signal from and me him have a very similar nature without a professional energy signature device, they cannot make out the difference so it was easy for me to hide there. I probably will not be welcome in some temples again after I knocked down some of the long diyas and bhasm stands over the rakshasas who tried to get to me. I had kind of pushed some of them over the standing lines in Devi temples, so yeah, probably blacklisted there as well.
