I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble comes looking for me.
Okay, fine. I may be a little bit of a troublemaker but I don't wish for troubles in my own plans. But, hey, I'm human. Even if I'm Narayana and Mahalakshmi's child, I'm human.
I planned to crack up Virat's secret but I sort of got caught by Virat's people and then went down, got killed. The second time, I tried to crack the secret using Dheera but she's caught by the soldiers. Well, luckily, they haven't gotten hands on the chip. The third time I was planning to get into the place but I ended up revealing myself to Nandini.
This had convinced me that I had failed to remember one very small detail. I failed to employ a specific person in my team.
So, that is why we were here. Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. Mami had suggested that I do some specific pooja because I'm sort of captured by someone's evil eye. I think it is Virat and Aakram's evil eye that caught on to me. So, after doing the pooja, I would receive the dhaga from the temple that will be tied around my wrist for my protection.
So, I sent Nal to retrieve the chip drive from Dheera. He already has a few yakshas kept in the prison there. So, he can contact her through them. I might just have underestimated the influence Nal has inside of Virat's palace. Nal's people are also in the army of Virat undercover.
But, yakshas cannot enter the temples. Especially not in Siddhivinayak Temple. So, I was doing timepass hoping that somehow Nal will show up.
"Alaknanda, we are getting late. The pooja will start soon." Mama pointed out.
"Just a moment..." I asked him.
But soon enough, the pooja was starting and I had to get inside the temple. The pujari started the pooja and I followed him.
"What is your gotra?" The pujari asked.
Yeah... about that. I'm not sure. As far as I know about the gotra system, it is from the father's side. Honestly, my father didn't have one at all. Like Brahma dev originates from my father.
"Aren't you the parents?" The pujari asked in disbelief to mama and mami.
"We aren't her parents. We're her uncle and aunt. My sister is her mother." Mama answered.
"Bhargava," I answered for the gotra.
Mama turned to give me a look. "What are you saying?" He asked in a whisper.
"Mama, honestly speaking, I wouldn't even have a gotra. My father has no lineage. So, what am I supposed to say my gotra is? Parabrahma? He will look at me like crazy. The closest lineage I have is from my mother. It would be Bhargava because when she gave birth to me, she was Bhargavi."
"That is not how gotra is decided."
"I know but what do you want me to say? If you're speaking from a Vaishnava Sampradaya, it would still be doubtful. Which Narayana would be my lineage from? Satyanarayana or Sheshasaayi Narayana or Lakshminarayana or Ksheerasagara Narayana or Anantanarayana? What am I supposed to say? My gotra Sri Mahavishnu? Would that still be accurate? You'll have to go ask my father in what form he was in when I conceived. Do you think you've got the guts to ask that question to my father? Garuda and Vishwaksena will kick you out of Vaikuntha faster than you can say 'this is necessary for the Ganesh pooja we are doing'. If you're looking from a Shaiva perspective, I would have to say my gotra is Shiva. All these gotras would not exist. So, it is pointless. It is simple to say Bhargava. If my dad's care-of address is given as Sripathi, what's the big deal if I use Sri's gotra?"
