My sleep broke and I turned towards my nightstand looking for my phone. Checking the time I groaned out loud. It was only 4 am. Old habits, die hard I guess.

Annoyed I got out of bed and dragged myself to the bathroom.
Emerging from the steam filled room a full hour later, I felt energized. My whole body was relaxed and my mind was at ease. I quickly grabbed a jeans with a black t-shirt. Changing into my clothing, I grabbed a hoodie and slipped it on.

I made my bed and fluffed out the pillows arranging them neatly. Once I was sure everything was neat, in place and I looked presentable, with no signs of a beds nest resting on top of my head, I decided to go downstairs. It was only 5:30 so I didn't expect anyone to be up.

I switched on the kettle, with the only thought on my mind being hot chocolate. Searching through the cabinets, I made mental notes on whatever I came across and in which cupboard it stayed for future reference. Grabbing the sugar from the canister on the counter, I spooned it into my cup along with some hot chocolate.

5 minutes later I had one perfectly made creamy cup of hot chocolate and silence. What more could one ask for? It must've have been quite some time that I sat there staring into space when Nicole walked into the kitchen.

"Oh, good morning." She greeted looking slightly startled at the sight of me there.

"Morning," I replied getting off the stool to wash my mug.

"Sorry, Enrico, Alessio and Giovanni are the only others that are usually up this early. I didn't expect to see you sitting there." She explained, manoeuvring around the kitchen grabbing ingredients for...pancakes I'm guessing.

"Do you need any help?" I offered. I was bored out of mind, and had nothing to do, so why not?

"You can cook?" She asked halting in her movements to look at me. No I'm offering to help burn the kitchen down.

"Yeah, I can actually." I chose to reply instead.

"Sure I'd love some help thank you."

"I'll be right back, I just want to wake Mia up." I turned to leave the kitchen.

"Isn't it a bit early to wake her up?" Nicole asked.

"No, not at all. She takes really long to wake up. If I wake her up now, I'll be lucky if she's down in half an hour. She's really slow in the mornings."

"Ohh okay, I'll keep that in mind for school days." With that she began bustling around the kitchen again.

I jogged up the stairs meeting both Enrico and Alessio on the way.

"Good morning" Alessio seemed way too chirpy for this early. Doesn't mean because I'm an early riser I have to like it.

"Morning," I replied my voice still laced with sleep.

"You're up early." Enrico commented, studying me closely.

"Yeah, just an early riser." I explained before excusing myself to go and wake Mia up.

When I reached the kitchen again, Enrico was nowhere to be seen. I quickly washed my hands and set to the task appointed to me by Nicole.
