I plopped down in my seat next to Adrian in the cafeteria. The slight pain that had formed during Chemistry, now a full blown headache.
The noise levels in the cafeteria did nothing to help ease the pain and I resorted to resting my forehead on the cool metal table.
"Where's your lunch?" Luke asked from his spot opposite Adrian.
I gestured behind me, not bothering with lifting my head to reply.
"Chase is buying her lunch today after the favour he cashed in." Nathan replied on my behalf.
"Giovanna does favours?"
That's the same thing I thought.
I rolled my eyes at the question as I thought about what had happened when I entered school this morning.
Hastily making my way through the hallways - I weaved in and out of the mass of students - narrowly avoiding a collison.
I can't believe I freaking overslept.
Expertly inputting my locker code, I grabbed an armful of books and shoved them into my backpack which I had unzipped on my way here. Just as I slammed the locker door shut and arm was draped around my shoulder.
"Hey babe." The person greeted and I paused.
What the fuck?
I took in the familiar sparkling blue eyes which held a hint of panic and pleading underneath. I squinted my eyes and turned to face the direction in which Chloe happened to be staring.
Spotting Barbie strutting her way down the hallway, the realisation set in.
Ohh
"Hey Chase." I greeted and pecked his cheek for extra good measure.
"Chase!" His name was screeched by the banshee and I visibly flinched at the sound.
Ouch.
"Excuse us, would you Barbie? My boyfriend and I have to get to class."
With that I interlocked our fingers and pulled him with me, Chloe playing the role of third wheel in the situation.
When we were out of sight I scowled at grinning boy and shot him a playful glare.
"I'll buy you lunch." He quickly promised and shoved both Chloe and I into class just as the late bell rang.
"It was a special case." I replied to the earlier question.
"Speaking of special cases, the weirdest thing happened today." Adrian began.
Intrigued, I lifted my head off the table placed my chin on my arms instead.
"Armella came upto us and apologized." He continued.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I was highly shocked to be honest." Matt said.
"Apologized for?" I asked not catching on.
"Remember the time we landed in detention cause someone ratted us out about letting the frogs in the science lab free?" Adrian asked and I finally remembered said detention.
It was a fun afternoon.
"Guess she finally understood my grand plan of conserving nature."
The entire table went dead silent and we all turned to Matt, trying to find out whether or not he was being serious.
Holy shit, he was serious.
"Bro," Adrian began slowly. "Not even I, understand that so called logic."
