My eyes fluttered open and I took in the strange place I was in. I moved my hands to rub my eyes but found that I couldn't move them. What the hell? Blinking I took in my surrounding and realised that I was in the movie room.
I recalled yesterday's events and a smile overtook my lips unknowingly. Picking my head up, I looked around to see everyone else still sleeping peacefully. It was only then that I realised that I was encased in Gerardo's iron grip.
I tried moving his arm off of me but he wouldn't budge. The next 10 minutes were spent with me wriggling around and trying to pry his dead weight arms off me. Finally succeeding I stood up breathing in a lung full of air and mentally patting myself on the back for getting out of that one.
I made my way over to the two small ones and covered them again seeing how most of the blanket was on the floor. Still half asleep I made my way to my bedroom on the second floor, my eyes half closed. Narrowly dodging the stand placed at the bottom of the staircase to the third floor with the vase on it, I finally made my way to my room.
I was surprised to see it was half 6 in the morning. Grabbing a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt I got into the shower, stretching out my muscles. The extra sleep I had gotten out me in a far better mood than what I was yesterday morning. I got out of the shower more awake and refreshed than before.
Grabbing my earphones and phone I made my way down to the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone. Plugging in my earphones I droned everything else out, my goal set on making scrambled eggs, sausages and croissants. Lucky for me the croissants were already prepped. All I had to do was add in a few touches and put them in the oven.
Not noticing my surroundings I lost myself in the music and began dancing around as I made everything. I slid across the kitchen to check on the croissants. I was so lost in the feeling of peace and momentary content I didn't notice Giovanni enter the kitchen.
I spun around and almost crashed into him. I could feel myself falling and braced myself to take the impact of the fall. Before I could get anywhere near hitting the floor, I felt arms wrap around me and pull me to my feet, steadying me.
I bit my lip as I pulled one of earphones out. "Sorry." I immediately apologized sheepishly.
"It's ok, there's no need to apologize." He gave me a soft smile which I returned with a one of my own.
Turning back to the scrambled eggs, I called out over my shoulder. "Coffee?"
"I could do with a cup, thanks."
"One cup of coffee coming right up."
"So how are you settling in?" He asked and I could feel my mind go into overdrive at the question. It's just a question, calm down Sheesh. "It's ok. I've settled in already. Made some friends at school." I turned to him placing all the food and his coffee on the table.
I grabbed a cover and put it over the food to keep it warm, before grabbing two plates and placing one infront of him. "That's good." He smiled. "Just don't hesitate to come to me or one of us if you need any help or want to query anything."
"I'll keep that in mind." I gave him a small nod. He seemed to want to go on, but everyone else began filing into the kitchen which I was thankful for.
I was surprised to see Enrico and Alessio here. It's was going for 8 o'clock and last weekend they were no where to be seen at this time. The rest of the 'movie crew' followed shortly after them.
"Morning." I greeted all of them as Toni climbed into my lap.
"Hey bud." I greeted him softly.
"Morning Nina." He rubbed his eyes still looking half asleep.
