Armella' pov (before the phone call):

I took a glance at my surroundings once again, feeling as though someone was watching me. Brushing it aside as paranoia, I picked up my pace as I headed to my locker.

I can't believe I forgot my note book in the locker at a time like this.

Mentally scolding myself, I stopped before my locker quickly spinning the combination so that I could get back to class.

Yanking open my locker proved to be a mistake and I struggled to shut the door once again. Alas, it was too late. The milk that was skillfully placed in my locker came pouring out, covering me from head to toe.

I gasped as I felt the cold liquid painstakingly slowly drip down my body, stepping back and watching the rest slosh all over the white tiles.

Sighing in defeat, my shoulders slumped forward and I rested my forehead against the lockers.

I was just sick of it all. The constant need to keep looking over my shoulder, running to class so that I wouldn't be caught dead- alone in the hallway and the stares and whispers.

The last one hadn't affected me as much as the other two. Whilst Giovanna was an absolute sweetheart and almost always by my side, I knew I couldn't stick to her like glue. She had a life and friends of her own - who kindly agreed to let me sit with them at lunch- and I knew that it was more than enough.

I didn't want to intrude on there conversations or make them feel the need to include me. I also didn't want to be seen as a burden.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I blinked away the years of frustration and slammed the locker door shut. Grabbing my bag, I made my way to the bathroom to see just how bad the mess actually was.

Roughly shoving open the bathroom door, I stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed someone washing there hands by the basins. There head was angled downwards and they only noticed that I had entered when they heard the loud click of the bathroom door.

I waited for the taunts, a snarky comment, cruel look or even for them to whip out their phone an take a picture- but none of it happened.

"Armella are you alright?" The familiar person asked.

"Yep." I replied popping the 'p' and making my way over to the basin next to hers. "Just another day in Oakland high."

"Would you like me to get Giovanna?" Brook asked and I noticed how her gaze lingered on my wet hair.

"No! No I'll be fine thank you." I quickly replied.

"Do you need my help then?" Before I could reply she spoke again. "Wait here. I've got a spare t-shirt in my locker. I'll be right back."

She was off before I could protest.

Afraid to even look at my reflection, I busied myself with thoroughly washing my hands. Luckily the milk hadn't spilt on my jeans that much. Whereas my hair and t-shirt were absolutely wet.

The bathroom door was pushed open and I stilled, relaxing only when I was sure that it was Brook.

"Here. I've got to get back to class. You'll be fine on your own?" She spoke handing me the shirt.

"Yes. Thank you." I told her gratefully and she just nodded before leaving.

Quickly entering one of the bathroom stalls, I changed into the fresh cream coloured shirt and exited the stall.
