Giovanna' pov:

Yelling.

I woke up to the sound of voices arguing. I could feel bright lights on me and I opened my eyes slowly to allow them to adjust. I noticed myself on a hospital bed.
Again.

Propping myself up on my forearms I took in the room. It was much larger than the infirmary we had at home.

I did a double take when I realised what I had just referred to the Accardi residence as. Home.

"Leave it alone? You all had guns! Freaking guns!"

My attention shifted from studying the room to Armella' panicked voice just outside the hospital room I am in. Peeling the covers off of me, I swung my legs over the edge and onto the cool tiles.

Slipping on the pair of flip flops that were laying next to the bed, I slowly stood up and stayed in the same spot for a minute or two allowing my now injured leg to adjust to my weight.

Once I felt safe standing on my own two feet, I made my way over to the door. I cracked it open a bit enough for the voices outside the door to increase by a decibel or ten. The yelling continued, no one noticing me quietly observing them.

"Guys, you should move elsewh-"

"I asked why the hell you all have guns!" Armella yelled completely freaked out. The little bit of composure she had before was thrown out of the window, and the raw fear could be seen clearly on her face.

Her chest was heaving heavily, her breathing harsh as she stared at whoever was standing outside the room. She took a timid step back and I assumed it was due to someone stepping forward.

"Because," I piped up softly causing everyone's heads to whip in my direction before I continued my voice gaining volume with each and every word I spoke.

"Because they run the American mafia."

What the fuck did I just say?

Ignoring the stares and shocked looks that was most definitely being sent in my direction, I focused solely on Armella. Her mouth was agape, her eyes wide and she stared at me in denial.

"No." She stated clearly not believing me as she took another step back.

"She's lying. Tell me she's lying!" She demanded, turning to basically everyone that were standing outside the room.

No one answered her, indirectly confirming that my words were true.

"You aren't joking?" She asked as she faced me, the question sounded more like her coming to the realisation than actually asking me.

I slowly shook my head, my hair which for once wasn't in it's usual ponytail due to someone removing my hairband, settled on my shoulders. I forgot how nice it feels to leave your hair open.

I studied Armella closely, surprised that she was so calm after the revelation. She seemed to be deep in thought before turning to look at me.

"Can I talk to you? Privately." she added in, realising that everyone older than us were standing less than 10 feet away. Everyone that hadn't joined us when we went paintballing weren't here yet, which I was thankful for.

I realised that my stupid statement could've been overhead by Mia and Toni.

I shrugged unsure but she took that as a yes and entered the room shutting the door behind her.

10 dollars says they are eavesdropping.

"How are you standing?"

"Huh?" I asked confused.
