"Nina." I heard someone call me.

"Nina wake up," the voice whispered and shook my shoulder gently. There's only one person that calls me Nina.

"Toni?" I asked groggily, turning to look at the clock on Mia's nightstand. I had only slept for half an hour.

"Play with me please?" He requested with a cute little pout on his face that made it hard to resist.

"Aww, but buddy I'm tired."

"Please Nina. I promise it'll be fun," he pleaded.

"Come nap with me." I compromised.

"Play first?" He bargained.

"Nope" I said popping the 'p'.

"Yep" he said copying me.

"Nope"

"Yep"

"Nope"

"Yep"

"Yep," I quickly switched my choice in words.

"Nope," he replied taking a deep breath getting ready to continue. When he realised I didn't carry on, he stopped and his eyes widened comically.

"Hey you tricked me!" He yelled and I gave him a grin.

"Too bad little one." I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into my embrace. He snuggled into me and I felt Mia move closer. Soon both of us were fast asleep.

Alessio's pov:

When I first saw my little sister, I was in a daze. She had grown so much. She was a beautiful young woman. 14 years. It has been 14 years since I last saw her. 14 years since I held her. 14 years since Jennifer took her and ran away.

In some way or the other I was hoping she was my still my baby sister. But when I saw her again for the first time after so long, I knew she wasn't that same 25 minute old baby that I held in my arms. She had grown up. She was mature. She was an independent person who now had someone dependant on her.

Eleonora Mia. Our half sister. Their personalities were so different, yet they got along so well. Giovanna was more cold, closed off, like our eldest brother. Whereas Eleonora was bubbly, lively and more friendly.

You'd think that people with opposite personalities would not get along, but these two got along better than anyone I have ever seen. The bond they shared was different from that of normal siblings.

The protectiveness Giovanna had over Ellie, wasn't only that of a sister. Their relationship seemed to extend to more than that of two sisters. I just couldn't place my finger on it as yet.

I was surprised and slightly hurt when Giovanna had asked me to contact the social worker to verify if I was really her older brother. Yet at the same time it was a good trait. She was cautious around people that she didn't know whereas Eleonora had warmed up to me really quickly, Giovanna still remained distant.

I couldn't help but feel that we were missing something. It had being playing on my mind for a long time. According to the social worker they were not seen entering and leaving the house that the police were monitoring. And when they were told to pack their things, they gave the social worker and entirely different address indicating where they lived.

I felt as if I was looking into it a bit too much. But I just couldn't shake of the feeling that we were missing something. Something big.

I pulled into the garage, Enrico parking his car next to me. We had managed to finish work slightly earlier than normal today. Opening the car door, I got out walking alongside dad who had also joined us at work. We entered the house and walked towards the kitchen to find the twins and Leo seated at the table.
