We finally reached the the end of the day, detention long over, and the excitement in the car could be felt. Who wouldn't be excited? We had a freaking long weekend coming up.

"No school tomorrow! Fuck yeah!" Ricardo yelled and then turned around to face Armella and I. "No one knows I swore in front of you guys."

"You did?" I asked playing dumb and high-fived him when he held his hand up.

"You guys wanna grab milkshakes before we head home?" Leo asked, who happened to be our designated driver for today, the twins still grounded.

"Sure, why not?" I replied from my spot by the window in the back and Leo nodded, before putting the car in reverse and backing out of the parking spot.

"We should get for Toni and Ellie too." Armella spoke up, and lucky for me she was the one who got stuck in the middle, Gerardo and I on either side of her. Leo nodded his reply and then focused on the road silence enveloping us.

"You are so getting grounded." Ricardo pipes up, directing his words at me just before I could put my earphones in.

"Gee, thanks for ruining my holiday spirit." I replied sarcastically.

"Well either way you were gonna find out sooner or later." He repeated the words I told him that morning, which ruined his spirit. Karma.

"Well thank you for the unwanted information." I told him and gave him a bright fake smile before plugging into the world of music.

He stuck his tongue out at me, and I rolled my eyes at him, leaning back in the seat and enjoying the ride. It's crazy how we high fiving one minute and arguing the next.

4 songs later, we arrived at a Cereal Bar, Leo pulling into the parking perfectly. "C'mon, let's go." He told us and unbuckled his seatbelt, unlocking the doors for the rest of us. I got out leaving the door behind me open for Armella to exit and fell in step with Leonardo who was walking ahead of everyone.

The moment I stepped in, I was hit with different scents, all of them coming together to give the place itself a comforting aroma. "What do you guys want?" He asked turning around to face the rest of us.

I looked up, my eyes scanning the screens on which the menus were, and went through the list of multiple cereals, and topping choices. Deciding on picking something from there special blends, as I was that indecisive I finally made a decision just as we reached the front of the line.

"Hi, welcome to the Cereal Bar. What can I get you guys today?" The cashier behind the counter asked as she tapped a few things on her screen before settling her attention on us.

"Hey Maddy." Leo greeted her with a megawatt smile which she returned with one of her own.

"Ship!" Both Armella and Ricardo whisper yelled behind Leo, and Gerardo and I immediately turned to glare at them both. They both sheepishly shrunk back and stood quietly.

"Maddy, this is my little sister Giovanna." Leonardo told her and wrapped his arm around my shoulder bringing me forward. "Giovanna, this is Madeline, she's in the same major as me and we known each other since she moved here 8 years ago."

"It's nice to meet you Madeline." I told and shook her outstretched hand.

"Likewise and please, call me Maddy."

Maddy was around 5,9ft, with dark, chocolatey hair, green eyes and a warm skin tone. The girl was absolutely gorgeous and could pass off as a model. With Leo's height, I'll admit the two would make a show stopping couple. I just didn't feel the need to embarrass them like Ricardo and Armella.
