I flopped down on the soft gray sheets of my bed next to Seb who was sprawled out on my bed. We had gotten home from the airport over half an hour ago in which we freshened up.
Removing my head from the pile of pillows in which is was buried, I took a good look at my best friend. Other than the few inches he had grown, he had changed quite a bit. And it seemingly wasn't the good kind.
He usually slightly muscular frame seemed to have thinned and on closer inspection, he seemed too thin. I furrowed my eyebrows when I took note of that. Surely Miss Williams would've handed his ass to him by now for not eating.
That wasn't what worried me though. He had dark bags under his eyes, indicating the lack of sleep. His eyes were closed as he rested but thier was something different about his aura altogether. Something I couldn't place.
Lost in my old world I was suddenly felt a pair of eyes studying me in the way I had studied him moments before. Our gazes locked and we communicated with our eyes for a bit before I tilted my head slightly and gave him a smile.
He responded with a wink and I burst out laughing as I grabbed the nearest pillow which I chucked at his face. The pillow smacked him square in the face as he didn't have sufficient time to dodge my attack.
He narrowed his eyes at me and I shot him an innocent smile. Before I could race away I was tackled by the big buffoon who was intent on revenge. We wrestled around as he tried to pin me down but I refused to give in.
My arms shot out ready to push him square in the chest but he caught them and grabbed a pillow shoving it over my face and using his body to keep me pinned. Leaving a little breathing room so that I didn't die, he spoke.
"Mercy?"
I shook my head 'no' the best I could under the circumstances.
He applied more pressure on the pillow on my face, slightly smashing my nose in the process.
The way I'm gonna smack this boy when I get my hands on him.
I wriggled around trying my utmost best to slip out of his tight hold. The most success I had was managing to free my one hand from his grip.
Using the little freedom I had acquired, I placed my hand on Seb's stomach and he immediately let up on his hold. A short laugh escaped him as I tickled the one spot that degraded his 'manliness'.
His words, not mine.
I felt his hands smack mine away and when I sat up I noticed the evil glint in his eyes. Not bothering to wait around and find out how he planned his revenge, or the fact that I looked like I had a bird's nest on top of my bed, I rolled towards left looking to escape.
Because I had focused a bit too much on my current situation, I miscalculated how far is have to go before springing off the bed. Landing on the floor in a heap, I let out a groan of pain before brushing it aside and taking off running, Seb not far behind.
I was running slower than usual, hardly remaining upright as my eyes were closed. I couldn't contain the fit of giggles that escaped as I raced through the hallway, Seb hot on my heels. Taking a sharp left, I began running down the staircase occasionally missing a step.
When I reached the final 4 steps, I jumped straight over all landing on my feet at the bottom. The second I took to regain my balance turned out be my downfall as I felt a pair of arms enclose me in their grasp.
I let out a a loud laugh as Seb began tickling me relentlessly.
"Sto-stop!" I yelled out in vain as he continued his attack.
"Say you sorry." He demanded stopping for a short while.
"What if I'm not?" I questioned cheekily. My eyes widened when I noticed his hands approach my stomach again. I kicked my leg out, tripping him and taking off not before hearing his groan of pain.
"Giovanna Rose!" He yelled out from behind me.
"Sebastian Lucas!" I yelled right back knowing how much his second name irritated him.
I raced into the kitchen seeking refuge in the form of my third eldest brother. Hiding behind Dante, I gripped the back of his shirt tightly as I peeked around him. Dante turned his head, angling towards me as he looked at me in confusion.
Not paying attention to the rest of the inhabitants in the kitchen, I shook my head when I saw him opening his mouth to ask me what I was upto. I gestured for him to keep quiet and placed my hands on his shoulders turning him back towards the entrance of the kitchen.
Right at that moment Seb walked through the doorway and I crouched behind my older brother. Miss Williams who was seated by the island in the kitchen shook her head, with a knowing smile on her face.
"Did you see Giovanna?" Seb asked Nicole I assumed, as she shook her head no.
I knew full well that he would remain for bit just to make sure I was not present. 30 seconds passed as the adults resumed their conversations and Dante spoke to me.
"You can come out now."
Taking his word for it I stepped away from his large frame and let out a sigh of relief only to freeze in my steps when I caught sight of the teenage boy leaning casually against the door jamb.
"You traitor!" I yelled at Dante and bee lined over to Miss Williams hoping that I'd have better luck. From my new hideout I shot Dante a murderous glare which he simply chuckled at.
I gaped at the blatant disrespect.
"You look adorable when you try to glare." He commented which only intensified it.
My glare was redirected to Seb who had burst out laughing but immediately sobered up when he felt my heated glare on him. Covering it up with a cough he glanced at me to see if I still happened to be glaring at him.
Rolling my eyes at him, I slipped onto the seat next to miss Williams and listened to the conversation she was having with my parents.
"You kids decided what your'll wanna do today?" Dad asked as he excused himself from their conversation and made his way over to us.
Seb and I looked at each other grinning.
"So there's this thing..."
