AP chemistry sucked. The teacher lectured us to the brink of insanity. Both James and I were slumped in our seats and Chloe's head almost bashed the table a couple of times. She kept on falling asleep and her head fell forward every single time.
The only person who seemed to be paying attention was Brook. I have no idea how that girl did it, because damn this guy was the definition of boring.
When the bell rang to indicate the end of class, the three of us all but ran out of that class. "I have to sit through that for the rest of the year?" My eyes were wide and the disbelief was clear in my voice.
"Unfortunately." James grumbled. "Not to mention we have the honour of him next year again." He added on sarcastically.
"I think I'll die before then," Chloe said as she rubbed her forehead which was now red. "Either that or I'll have a concussion after every lesson."
"Oh c'mon" Brook started as she joined us and we made our way to the gym. "It's wasn't so bad. Your'll are alive aren't your'll?"
"Alive? yes. Brain dead? Definitely." James grumbled under his breathe.
"I agree with you on that one." I mumbled back.
We parted making our way to the locker rooms. I made my way over to my assigned gym locker and was pleasantly surprised to find it next to Chloe's. Apparently when we were enrolled we had to give our size and a gym kit was made accordingly. I opened my locker to find a pair of shorts and a t-shirt with the school emblem on it.
The only problem were the shorts. They were too short for my liking. And that would just show off all my scars. Luckily I had come prepared. It was just a matter of convincing the coach. I stepped out of the changing cubicle in a pair of basketball shorts that reached over my knees.
Some of the scars on my calves could be seen but I could easily lie my way out of that one. Something about a car accident or something. It technically wasn't that much of a lie.
Making sure my hair is tied tightly in a ponytail, I made my way out of the locker room and over to the coach.
"I assume you are Giovanna?" He asked looking up from his clipboard.
"Yes coach..." I trailed off hoping he would catch onto my question.
"Coach Sanders," he answered my question.
"Nice to meet you coach Sanders." I said giving him a nod in acknowledge. "I just wanted to know whether I'd be allowed to wear basketball shorts for gym class instead of the required school shorts?"
Before I could further explain my situation he answered my question. "Of course. I have no problem with that. Between you and me, anything but those shorts. I swear some of the girls choose the smallest size available." He voice quietened down towards the end.
I liked him already. I look forward to gym class. Giving Coach a small grin and thanks, I turned on my heel and jogged back to were the rest of the students were gathered.
The sound of a whistle pierced through the air just as I stood in the spot next to Nathan. Turns out this was one of the few classes we all shared.
"We are going to be focusing on cardio today." Coach Sanders voice rang out through the gym.
"You will be working in pairs so as to work on your pace with your partners."
People began gravitating towards their friends as coaches voice rang out again. "Your chosen partners."
