Ow ow ow ow ow, apparently falling off a cliff really hurts; I can barely move a muscle. 'Sage, how long have I been out and how long till I can walk?'

'Notice: Master has been out for 7 and a half hours and it will take 50 minutes for all bone and tissues to be healed and strengthened with mana.'

'In Harry Potter, there was something called occlumency shields, shields that can protect your mind, place a shield on my past life memories leaving Grey's and Arthur's memories.'

'Notice: Occlumency shields forming. Notice: Mana core has reached the light red stage.'

'Been able to purify mana with each breath should greatly speed up the process of reaching white core and hopefully, we achieve it before starting Xyrus.'

"Hello there, it's good to see you're finally up." Said a kind gentle voice.

Sylvia, we're finally going to meet. During the past year, I thought about what I should do about Sylvia's situation and the conclusion I came up with is nothing, there is nothing I can do. Agrona, or whoever stabbed her had severely injured her so much so her beast will, was incapable of healing her not only that but Cadell was able to fight Thunder Thighs Bairon and win, the fuck is light red Arthur supposed to do. Also, if I somehow manage to escape Cadell and cure Sylvia, the scythes and Vritra might start moving earlier than they did in canon which would screw up the timeline and make my novel knowledge unusable. So, I have decided to play the innocent and ignorant card, get her to think of me as her grandson, and get her to trust me Sylvie and her beast will and let events unfold similarly to canon.

"WHO'S THERE? SHOW YOURSELF" I demanded as I eyed the slave trader's corpse with caution.

*chuckles* "No child I am not that corpse," said the voice

"Who and where are you?" I asked feigning ignorance.

"Hmm, you'll find out who I am when you find me, quickly follow the mana trail as other beasts might just find your location." She said in a stern voice.

'Sage, show me the way.' I  ordered.

Before my eyes a faint stream of gold dust appeared, beckoning me to follow. Climbing over some rock formations and following the river I couldn't help but wonder; what if things go wrong? What if Sylvia doesn't entrust me with her will and Sylvie's egg? Could I, would I even be a threat to the scythes, to the asuras, to the Vritra? Would I be able to protect Dicathen or in the end, will we all get reduced to ash on Indrath's command? As I was about to have my panic attack, Raphael interrupted my train of thought.

'Notice: You have reached your destination'

Mentally thanking Sage, I prepared my best-confused voice. "Ummm... it's a pleasure to meet you, sentient rock, ma'am" I said with uncertainty while bowing so deep I look like a right-angle triangle.

"Kufufufu I am not a sentient rock either child, look in between the rocks and you will find the entrance to my dwelling. Be warned it is quite the drop so reinforce your legs with mana." Looking in between the rocks I found an entrance just big enough for me to fit through, steeling myself I took the leap of faith imagining the air swirling around my feet to slow my fall, and just like that I landed softly on the ground without making a single sound. Taking a deep breath, I looked around to find none other than grandma Sylvia, disguised as a giant P.E.K.K.A. creature, thing...  "Are you the strange voice that invaded my head?" I asked cautiously taking a step back.

Sylvia snorts and replies "Now, now child that is no way to treat your savior, tsk, tsk, tsk."

"Savior, wait you saved me but, but why would you? You, you aren't going to eat me right? Promise, promise me that you won't eat me!" I screeched in fear as my back pressed against the wall.

'Notice: Master is such a drama queen, if I didn't know Master was acting I most certainly would have believed Master's performance.'

'Shucks, you make me blush'

Sylvia clutched her stomach, cocked her head back, and released a laugh so loud it shook the cave. "Thank you, child, I can't remember when I last laughed like that. To answer your questions, yes, I saved you, the reason as to why I saved you is quite simple. I thought it was quite brave and noble of you to sacrifice yourself for your mother's safety and I, Sylvia, promise not to eat..." "Leywin, Arthur Leywin." "I, Sylvia, promise not to eat, Arthur Leywin."

"If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you?"

"I am but a shell of my former glory but what are you, a human child no older than five, yet you are a light red core mage, with elements of fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, ice, sound, and gravity. This is simply unheard of, not only that but all of them are at the highest affinity like the world would happily move to accommodate you. Also, you seem to have taught yourself a form of constant mana rotation as well as using it to strengthen your body whilst simultaneously purifying your mana core."

Sylvia's POV

This child has such potential, I could give him my beast will but won't that be putting too much pressure on the child. I should obverse him a bit more but he did willingly take the hit for his mom. Sighing, I looked towards the child hoping to find something to make my decision easier, I notice mana particles rushing towards almost as if they're begging to be of use to him. Finding this odd I poured more mana into my eyes but what I saw, I can't believe, are my eyes betraying me? Is it a side effect of the poison causing me to hallucinate, no, no it's not just mana particles awaiting his call? Aether? Impossible! There is no way, even we of the Indrath clan are the only ones capable of naturally manipulating aether but it takes decades of meditation to even begin to use aether in the slightest, and even then aether is always stagnant. Yet this child just proved hundreds of thousands of years of common asura knowledge wrong. Aether, aether the energy of the universe is bouncing, spinning, spiraling like a child yearning for attention. If, if this child could use aether like he could use mana, just what kind of monster would be formed? One last test, I'll use the aevum aspect of aether to pierce into his past. Hmm, let's see, huh he is a reincarnation of a former king. Humble yet stern but not overbearing with subordinates while cold and brutal to his would-be enemies. Now, let's look into his future, wait... I can't see much, something is blocking my vision. This could only mean one thing as if I didn't know this already Arthur Leywin, you are indeed special. I have decided, I will entrust you with my will and unborn child. 'I pity the fools who'll make an enemy of you' I chuckled darkly.

"Arthur, dear come closer I have a gift for you; think of it as a reward for your selfless act," Sylvia says proudly.

'Notice: it seems as though Master's grandma finally understands Master's true worth'

'When she is giving me the beast will try to take a closer look at the makeup of her so that we can form our own using vivium.'

AN that's chapter 2 done and in the books, tbh I thought I would procrastinate on this much longer but it's more fun than I thought it would be writing this story.

Also, for those who forgot:

Aevum: Aether that controls Time.

Spatium: Aether that controls Space.

Vivum: Aether that influences Existence (Life, death, creation, and destruction).

Fate: Aether that influences Destiny.
