'So, this is where most of your troubles began, huh?' Regis asked as we stood in front of Room A6.
'Yup, the thing is the first time I met Kai he gave off so many red flags. Like asking for a secret code, he always wanted to be alone on guard duty, the radicals would escape after he reported their location and most of all his damn facial expression screamed 'I am bad guy.' But I chose to ignore all those signs in favor of trusting that no one would betray us and it would have become a major problem other than bullying.'
'You know that seems like a lot of childish mistakes, Oh Mighty King Grey,' Regis teased.
'I think it has to do with my soul fusing with whoever was supposed to take over this body...'
'Wut?' came his intelligent reply.
'This is just my theory. Agrona wanted to control Fate, why? Why did he want to control Fate? I think it's because he wanted to have better control over the cycle of reincarnation. And assuming he could only summon one soul once he had to practice before he messed up the Legacy's reincarnation. However, when he attempted to try to reincarnate me... Fate, Aether, a sentient being was not happy with the way Agrona was forcing Aether to do his bidding and thus overridden his control of Fate allowing for me to be reincarnated as Arthur in Dicathen, meet Sylvia, lose the war, forge an aether core the first time, learn from the Djinn, and then allowed me to do it all again. So, to answer your question I think Arthur was a fusion of Grey and the unborn child while I am a fusion of Arthur, Grey, and past life me. In my past life I lived a relatively normal life but now thanks to Grey I can be an emotionless machine if I wanted to be; so I think that unborn child's innocence had affected him subconsciously.'
'Ohhh, I get it now,' Regis said having an epiphany.
'Ah Papa, while your theories sound good and all we've been standing here for a couple of minutes...' Sylvie informed.
"Ah shit, too much to think about," I muttered while opening the door.
"ROAAAR!" a man-sized world lion with no sense of personal space roared, getting his saliva all over Sylvie and I.
"Not even a flinch," came the voice of Ka Crestless.
"Who are you?" I asked, keeping up my farce.
"Kai Crestless. Tell Blood is scared..." he said leaving the code for me to complete. In all my years I have never heard an Alacryan use that specific code again. Maybe it was just something used for this particular mission, oh well, knowing how important blood is to Alacryans should not impossible to mess with him.
"What?"
"Nothing," he shied away.
"Oh, I get it," I feigned having newfound insight. "You're one of those people who think that blood is important and determines your place in society," pounding my fist into my open palm. "Wait no, it's the purity of one's blood that you guys care about..."
His eyes widened in surprise and his mouth hung open, "Y-you met people like me," he asked with trembling legs. No doubt afraid of what punishment he would face if his cover was blown so easily.
"Yeah, I have to deal with them almost every day," I said annoyed.
"E-everyday?" he asked wishing that this wasn't true.
"Yup," I nodded while he gulped.
"Nobles, think just because they are born the world owes them everything; am I right," I asked with a big cheeky grin.
"W-what?" he asked slapping himself as if he were trying to get back to reality.
"Easy there bud, I was just joking no need to hurt yourself, a laugh would suffice," I said motioning for him to calm down.
