Fighting Spirit (The Final Barrier)

Overcoming Doubt

The two stared at each other for a bit as the wind blew and swayed the branches of trees. Adrian closed his eyes and began seeing through the eyes of a bird just above them in a tree. Maybe if I use multiple eyes at once I might be able to have an advantage. When it comes to strength we match up the same but, it's hard to damage him. Adrian began using the eyes of birds, bugs, and small creatures nearby to have multiple eyes on their fight. His "Rage sense" was a new ability but, it was also one he couldn't hold for long without exhausting himself. Adrian took a deep breath I won't be able to hold this long so I gotta make every hit count he thought. Judah crouched low to the ground and smiled

"Prepare my friend" Judah opened his arms wide and yelled, "DESTROY THIS OUTSIDER!" The ground began to shake again but this time you heard roaring, and ear-splitting wails. Adrian used his Rage Sense to see what was approaching him making all of that noise. To his surprise, many weird-looking creatures similar to the octopus-like one they all fought earlier were quickly gaining ground on them. Judah chuckled

"Before was just a small portion of my power, now I can truly show you the strength of Africa," He said Adrian counted out four large creatures, one was a turtle with what seemed like an island on its back. The turtle was massive compared to the octopus creature they fought before. Next was a large snake, it was a green Cobra that also shared the same size as the turtle. The third was a red hyena that had black orbs for eyes, the hyena also seemed to be smoking from its fur. Lastly was a black spider with about 10 legs the same size as the other creatures. Adrian grimaced Without the others this might be a little too much for me on my own. Adrian glanced at Gabriel and Kevin unconscious then looked at Judah Fuck it, it's only me right now Adrian ran towards Judah swiftly tackling him before he could react to anything. Adrian then grabbed him by the collar and threw him off into a distant tree splintering it in half on impact. Adrian quickly ran towards him again not allowing Judah a chance to recover. Judah wiped his jaw and smirked

"You're trying to be aggressive so I can't control my spirits, admirable but.." Judah caught Adrian in the jaw with a left hook as Adrian ran upon him. "That won't be enough," He said after Adrian flew back a bit. Adrian regained himself and stopped sliding, he was gasping for air as he looked at Judah dammit, I'm expending too much energy to keep my Rage Sense active; I might have to absorb his spiritual energy....The only issue with that is I'll be vulnerable. As Adrian was thinking the Huge Turtle spirit opened its mouth and shot a jet stream of lava at him. With no time to think Adrian jumped out of the way only to be webbed up by the spider spirit. He struggled against the webbing but, soon noticed the webbing itself was absorbing his spiritual energy. Fuck! These spirits are tougher than I thought, at this rate, I'll die out here. Adrian thought, still struggling to break out The snake spirit then smacked him with its massive tail. Adrian was launched into the air just to be hit with a fire attack from the hyena spirit. Pain radiated all over Adrian's body as he fell into the dense foliage of the jungle. Judah began to laugh

"You seem to be struggling my friend," He said mid-laugh, Adrian was fighting unconsciousness when he hit the ground with a loud thud. Memories of his days as a star Quarterback played in his mind as he drifted away, with his spiritual energy almost at zero he was easier to be injured and the damage began to take its toll. The last thing he heard was the loud footsteps of the animal spirits coming his way to finishing the job. Madam Zari watched as Adrian fell into the foliage with the other spirits hot on his trail. She glanced at Gabriel and Kevin then began thinking hard These two are no good right now, I need to find a way to help Adrian out before Judah kills him. Madam Zari clenched her fists

"I'll just have to find a way to help," She said. Madam Zari grabbed Kevin's hand and placed it on Gabriel's I may be able to get their other friends here if I direct my energy to the right-center. Madam Zari began chanting as she filled the two with mana "The vessels of others have a waypoint to us, open the door that is between the voids" she opened her eyes to reveal teal-colored irises, she then poured much more mana into the spell until a white light filled the area.
