Fighting Spirit (The Final Barrier)

The Clash of Two Tanks

Adrian looked up at the humongous snake and clenched his fists

"No matter how the odds look, I have to be confident in my own abilities" He said to himself. The snake lashed it's massive tail at Adrian but, Adrian swiftly dodged it and grabbed the tail of the beast. Adrian inhaled a deep breath and lifted the humongous reptile high into the air and smacked it down unto the ground making shockwaves. This got the attention of the other spiritual creatures and the man of the hour, Judah. With a dangerous smirk on his face Adrian squeezed his fist and a large amount of his spiritual energy whipped out violently. Judah jumped up and landed on the large land mass on the turtle spirits shell

"My friend! It pleases me to see that you're still alive and well!" He yelled with a childlike happiness in his eyes. "Don't fail me my friend!" Judah yelled, as the turtle spirit he rode charged forward followed by the hyena and spider. I'm different this time around  Adrian said trying to convince himself he wasn't useless. As he took a deep breath and entered his rage sense, every bug and animal in a fifteen mile radius all were used for their hearing, their vibration detection, and most importantly their eyes. Adrian then entered his rage mode in tandem with the rage sense I have way more spiritual control now but, I still have to finish this before I eventually run out. He thought, before he quickly glanced at Aurora in the distance gasping for breath on her knee. Next he glanced at the barrier that protected the others by Madam Zari. I gotta go after Judah to minimize damage and make sure the others are okay, if I take the spiritual beasts on I'll never  last long enough to win. He thought, as the ground shook with Judah and his spiritual zoo running forward Adrian backhanded the still woozy snake forcefully knocking it out.

"Lets see your resolve instead!" Adrian yelled back as he began running towards the giant turtle spirit. Immediately Adrian jumped in the air and was met with a few projectiles. A fireball, A ball of lava, and webbing were shot in volleys trying to take Adrian out. Florian's voice echoed in Adrian's mind, steady and calm. Relax. Your power is limited by your mind. Just believe you can beat Judah, and the rest will follow.

Adrian barely had time to process the words before leaping onto a thick tree branch, his muscles tensed. He pushed off just as a strand of webbing shot past, missing him by inches. He landed on another branch, his breath coming in sharp bursts.

"Easy for you to say," Adrian muttered, dodging another projectile. "You're not the one actually fighting these things."

Florian's presence flickered, his tone laced with something between frustration and patience. Because you and I aren't close enough for me to take control. I need you to be comfortable, to relax. Right now, all I can do is coach you.

Adrian gritted his teeth, launching himself from another branch just before it was swallowed in molten fire. Flames crackled behind him, heat searing his skin.

"You've gotta be able to do something at least," he huffed, eyes darting for a safe landing spot.

Silence.

As quickly as Florian had spoken, the connection severed. Adrian cursed under his breath, frustration bubbling to the surface. His hands curled into fists.

Fine. If Florian wasn't going to help, then he'd just do it himself.

He landed, feet skidding slightly against the bark, then pivoted sharply. His eyes locked onto the enemy, and something shifted inside him. No more hesitation. Though a bigger doubt surrounded him Will I be good enough on my own?

Time to fight. In an almost Spider-man gracefulness Adrian used his rage sense to avoid all of the projectiles launched his way and land in the middle of the island sized land mass on the turtle's shell. The landing blew dirt and sand everywhere and all that Adrian saw was Judah's silhouette through the dust and dirt he kicked up. Judah glowed golden as he walked forward traversing the cloud of dirt
