Kevin woke up in a cold sweat gasping
"Holy shit" He said between gasps "That was an intense dream" Kevin looked at his hands as they started shaking a little "It felt so real". Kevin looked around the room he was in and noticed many African Tribal masks "I guess I passed out after we got healed by Judah, Madam Zari must've let me rest in one of her rooms" he said to himself. Yawning and stretching he got out of the bed. After taking a few steps Kevin noticed something horrible, his heart rate increased and his breathing got heavier. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a singular quarter, his hand began to quiver as he held the coin in his hand. I....I had two quarters when Judah healed us...just in case I had to use.....A Railgun. He thought Maybe I dropped a quarter at some point.....yeah I mean we were fighting out there I'm surprised I still have this quarter. Kevin chuckled to himself when he saw something shining under the lamp set up on the side of the bed. Kevin walked around the side of the bed silently denying what was in front of him. Laying on the nightstand in front of him was a bloody quarter No......That means.... Kevin suddenly got a heavy Migraine. He fell to his knees as sweat began dripping from his head Th....That means......I killed her he thought. Kevin's Migraine grew as a thin glowing crack began to appear on his forehead, Kevin then heard a familiar voice behind him
"Oh, you're finally awake" Kevin whipped his head around to see Sapphire carrying a glass of water. The crack on Kevin's forehead disappeared before Sapphire could see it but, what she did see was Kevin's distressed face. Sapphire quickly put the glass of water down and hurried over to Kevin
"Are you okay?" she asked him. Kevin noticed how worried Sapphire looked, she held his hand and for a second Kevin felt warmth. He looked Sapphire in her eyes and spoke
"I Killed Aurora didn't I?" He asked, the warmth he felt from her disappeared as she let go of his hands. she looked at the ground then back up at him and nodded, Kevin grimaced and squeezed his fist
"Dammit!" Kevin yelled with tears in his eyes "Wayne.....You-"
"DON'T BLAME WAYNE FOR THIS!!" Sapphire snapped. Kevin was taken aback by her outburst "This isn't Wayne's fault" she continued "It's yours Kevin...You killed her not your brother" She finished. Kevin eyes showed hurt as he somewhat whispered
"If I didn't do anything.....you would've died" Sapphire got unto her feet and began to leave the room
"You don't know that" She replied coldly, Sapphire looked at Kevin one last time "I brought you some cold water.....drink it if you want" she said before leaving Kevin in his own guilt. Kevin sighed but soon heard his voice behind him
"No one trusts you now" it said, slowly Kevin turned around to see himself sitting in a chair shackled to it. He smiled at him as if he knew something no one else did
"They trust me...They just are shocked at what I did" Kevin pleaded
"Kevin, are you awake yet? We have much to do child" Madam Zari's voice boomed. Kevin quickly got up and exited the room. The him chained to a chair chuckled as he left the room
"We'll see about that" he said before disappearing into smoke. Kevin walked into the backyard of Madam Zari's to see all of the spirits gathered once again, Kevin glanced at his friends and expected to see relieved smiles. Instead he was met with uneasy glances and hateful glares, Kevin sighed once again and walked up beside Waitun. The massive wolf looked down at him
"Kevin, are you feeling better?" He asked with genuine worry, Kevin shrugged looking almost emotionless
"I guess so" he replied, Waitun lowered his body and laid down beside where Kevin stood
