90 Days until jiu Arrives
Paris was silent as the sunlight washed over the fresh destruction. Some people who hid or ran away to find safety finally began peeking out to survey the area of danger. Babies began crying and the sounds of worried and relieved voices began to fill the streets, Kevin let out a sigh of relief and turned around to see Gabriel approaching him. Kevin's sword dissipated and he held his left arm
"This place has seen better days" Gabriel's sword dissipated as well when he looked around
"Yeah, I don't think the government will let something like this slide" he said
"We tried to hold it to a minimum"
"Something tells me the world leaders won't care so much about that" the shuffling of feet got their attention and the two turned around. Ramona and Sofia were helping Sappire walk, she looked weak but; her eyes is what got Gabriel and Kevin's attention. They looked past them as she reminisced murdering Teresa again and again.
"Whats wrong with her!?" Kevin asked as he approached her, worry growing in his voice. he grabbed her and looked over her in his arms as her eyes remained looking forward in a lost stare. Her face and body were covered in blood spatters, Ramona crossed her arms
"I don't know, we saw her laughing crazily when we came to; she's been like this since we tried to calm her down" Gabriel furrowed his brow
"I think this is the first time she's killed someone....or anything for that matter" He commented, Sofia walked up and leaned on Gabriel's shoulder taking a closer look at Sapphire
"She doesn't look good" Gabriel made a face
"I told you idiots coming out here was a bad idea but, no one listens to this black man" Ramona furrowed her brow
"If we didn't Kevin would still be under the demon's control" Gabriel shrugged
"I said what I said" Kevin began searching his mind trying to find a way to snap Sapphire out of it
"Sapph......Sapphire!" He said shaking her a bit, still her eyes remained locked on a far away object that wasn't there. Taking a deep breath Kevin came to a conclusion
"I think I can snap her out of it" he said looking up at the others. They all exchanged glances
"How" They all said in unison
"I'll....." before Kevin could finish his thought Sapphire began blinking and moving around in Kevin's arms. Looking down Kevin was relieved to see her brown eyes gazing up at him curiously "Hey, you gave us a scare" he said with a gentle smile. Sapphire blinked a bit to try and moisturize her now dry eyes.
"A scare?" she echoed "Why, I thought...." She trailed off when the memories of the day came back to her, it was apparent it was no dream considering the destruction she was surrounded by. She then glanced down at herself to see half dried blood was all over her clothes in splotches and splatters. The only area that was fully doused in blood was her right arm from the elbow down. She raised her hand to see the sheer amount of dried blood that stuck to her skin, before long the gravity of it all hit her. Her hand began trembling as tears starting welling in her eyes "I....I" Kevin grabbed her hand and held it close
"It's...Okay, what you did doesn't make you a bad person...You-" Before he could finish Sapphire pulled him close with a hug and started sobbing into his shirt. Looking lost Kevin silently looked over to the others pleading for help. Gabriel made hand gestures that mocked a hugging and patting motion so Kevin awkwardly hugged her tightly. "Its okay, we can go home now"
Meanwhile At Jiu's Hideout
Wayne was summoned to Jiu's quarters and had the sneaking suspicion he was going to be killed for helping save his brother He's going to kill me, I suppose it's only right; I did side with the others against him. Accepting his fate Wayne sauntered in with a somewhat nonchalant air to him. Jiu was hunched over thinking when Wayne walked in and almost didn't realize he was there. He looked up and sighed
