I waited at the hospital for the team Team to leave they had a shift in the morning also I don't have the heart to disturb any of them durning their time
Owen got up as I stood in the doorway I don't know weather to ask or not
"Officer Reyes .. would you like sometime with him ?" he said patting me on the shoulder
" I - I don't wanna impose .." I said
"I think he would appreciate it I'm gonna go get a coffee I'll be back ." He said
I walked into TK's room seeing him hooked up on a ventilator
He looked peaceful as almost if he was sleeping
I pulled up a chair next to his bed
"Hey ty .." I said stroking his hair back
" I thought I told you to be careful." I chucked a little with a tear running down my face
"Ty can you hear me ?" I asked stroking his face
"I know I never said it because I'm to chicken Tk spit it out but I love you ty come back to me please ?" I said
"You love my son ..." Owen said breaking the silence
"Sorry captain strand uh I'll get going -." I said about to get up
"No no please stay .." Owen said
"I got you a coffee ." He said handing me a cup
"Thank you sir ." I said accepting the hot cup
He took a seat on the other side of TK's bed
"Owen please ." He said
"So you love my son ?" Owen said
"Uh yes sir .." I said sipping my coffee
"You make him really happy I haven't seen him this happy since .. I don't know when." Owen said
"I try ." I said giving him a slight smile
"he's gonna recover you know .." Owen said
"I know I just worry about him ." I said
"Your a good kid Carlos ." He said
