Harry's POV

Jade insisted that I go with her when she went to meet Ed. I really didn't want to go with her, I didn't want to see a member of my own family get their heart broken. But I knew that Jade needed my support. "Are you ready, love?" I asked as we stood in front of Ed's flat door.

"Don't call me love just yet, I'm still taken." She reminded me.

Jade knocked on the flat door with her right hand. We stood in the hallway for a minute before Ed finally opened up the door. The second that I saw his ginger hair, I sighed. I felt so bad for him but Jade was mine and I knew that deep down Ed knew that.

"Hey, babe." Ed smiled at Jade.

"Hey, erm, are you free? We need to talk." She replied to him.

"Yeah." He said as he smile faltered. " I'm free, do you want to come inside?"

"Yes, please." Jade told him.

Ed widened the space in the door and stepped out of the way so that Jade and I could enter. Ed shut the door behind us. "What's going on?"

Jade ignored him and took a seat upon his floral printed love seat, and I sat down beside her. " Please sit."

Ed walked across the room and took a seat on the chair opposite from where Jade and I sat. " Now that we're sat, what's going on?"

"Ed." Jade begun. " I like you, a lot. You know that right?"

" Yeah?"

"But it's been months and I don't think that we're compatible with each other. You're sweet and you're funny but I love someone else. You deserve to have a girl that will love you and not love another person whilst they are with you."

"You still love Harry, don't you?" He asked.

" Yeah."

Ed turned his head in my direction, I could see the envy hidden behind his blue irises. " You're never going to stop trying to steal my bird are you? Every girl that I get, falls in love with you. What do you have that I don't?"

" I never wanted to take her from you, mate. " I told him in all honesty. "I've loved Jade since I was eighteen, you know that."

" But you didn't even give her a chance to love me."

"I did, hell you even told me that I needed to fix things with her."

"Yeah, fix things as in, show her that you still care. I didn't mean for you to steal my bird."

"This isn't all his fault." Jade intersected. " I am making this decision , not him."

For the next half an hour I sat and listened to Ed and Jade scream at one another. I tried stepping in to stop the yelling but every time that I did Jade told me to stop and to let them sort it out.

As Jade and I left Ed's flat, Ed whispered in my ear, "Don't think that you won. I'll have her back one day, I promise you that. You'll hurt her and she'll come running back to me to help repair her broken heart."

I rolled my eyes and stepped out into the hallway beside Jade. Jade reached over and gave Ed one last hug and said to him, "Thank you for understanding."

"Anytime." He replied before slamming his flat door shut in our faces.

Once Jade and I got back to my flat, Jade took a nap whilst I cooked her lunch. I missed cooking for her, I missed seeing the smile that she would make after she took the first bite. I made her brunch. I was determined to have her eat every bite of it.

Jade's eating disorder had definitely seemed to be getting better, she was finally getting meat on her bones after so long. Her collar bones were still prominent, but I no longer saw the blue tint beneath her fingernails. I no longer saw the haunting pale color on her face instead it was replaced with the beautiful pinkish glow that I loved to see on her cheeks.

"No." She mumbled into the pillows. "Don't wanna get up."

"You need to, I made you lunch." I told her.

"What'd you make?" She asked as she sat up in the bed.

"Eggs, sausage and toast."

"You're the best, you know that right" She laughed.

"So I've heard." I laughed before walking away towards the kitchen.

Minutes later Jade walked into the kitchen and took a seat. I placed her plate onto the table in front of her before grabbing my own and placing it down in front of the spot where I was going to sit. I sat down opposite of her and smiled as she took bite of her toast. "Thank you." She said after swallowing the bite she had taken.

"It's no problem." I replied. "We need to talk."

"About?"

"Us." I pointed at her and then at myself with my right index finger.

"Proceed."

"Jade." I began. " We have been through so much since we were both eighteen. We've waged war with one another so many times but we always ignore the battle scars and come running back to one another. Our relationship has never been perfect. We have never went a week without fighting, but I don't want that again. I want to be with you. I want to be the only man to make you smile. I want to be the man that you tell them that you love them. I want you Jade, with everything that I have."

"I feel the same way."

"Please be mine again. I love you, Jade Juliana."

"I have always been yours and I love you."
