Harry's POV

Within a second, everyone and everything became silent. There was no sound of breathing that could be heard, none of cars passing by, nor of the sound of the birds outside chirping their happy little songs, just uncomfortable, painful silence. I looked around the room and noticed that Jade's mouth was dropped open, I reached for her, and with her right hand she pushed me away.

"Stop!" Jade screamed. "Just fu-cking stop!"

"Give her some time." Emily finally said. "She's trying to take it all in."

Jade looked up at me and then at Emily. "I.." She began. "I don't believe this." She said quickly before getting off of the couch and running towards the restroom. Within seconds I ran after her, screaming for her to not go into the bathroom, to just come back and sit on her couch, but to no avail would she listen.

"Jade!" I screamed as I pounded my fists on the restroom door. "Jade!"

"Stop, she needs time to think!" Emily screamed from the living room.

"No!" I replied back in a scream. "She's going to end up harming herself!"

"Come sit down!"

"No!" I yelled before pounding my hands on the door again. "Jade, please."

"Please." Jade begged from behind the door. " Please give me some time."

"I just want to comfort you."

"I'll be fine, just go sit with Emily or something."

"Is that really what you want?"

"It is."

"Okay, If you need me yell and I'll be right here in a second."

"Thank you." Jade replied before I walked away from the restroom door. I walked down the hallway and into the living room and sat down onto the couch.

"Look" Emily said as she sat down beside me on the couch. "She isn't going to harm herself, she just needs time to think. Even if she does harm herself, we can't be angry at her for it. This is a trigger, a big one at that. I mean, Harry, it was her nephew. You and I both know that she isn't going to take this lightly. All that we need to do now, is just sit and wait for her to come out."

"But how do you know that she won't cut too deep? The thought kills me." I said as I looked down at my hands.

"Because you have to have hope that she won't. I have been cut free for months now, mostly because of Damian's help. But I won't lie to you and say that if something like this happened to me, the thought of harming myself wouldn't cross my mind, because it definitely would."

"But I'm still afraid." I admitted.

"Have hope. Now, if you listen closely, Juliet isn't crying anymore. She'll probably shower to relax."

I closed my eyes momentarily and noticed that I no longer heard the depression sound of Jade bawling. Instead I heard the sound of the water running. "How did you know that she'd do that?"

"Because she almost always does when she wants to stop herself from hurting herself."

"She's never done it whenever she's around me."

"She has, I've been there when she's done it. There's a lot about Juliet that you don't even know, some that you will never know."

"And why not? She's my fu-cking bird, I should know everything about her."

"But you never will because you will never understand what she hides from you. There is many things about Juliet that you know that I do not and there is a lot that I know that you don't. She tells people what she wants to because some people will understand it whilst other's will not."

Emily and I sat in silence for a few minutes. Whilst many questions ran though my mind, I just didn't know how to ask them. The main question was what had happened, how had Lance died. It hurt me deeply to know that he was gone. Being a parent, your biggest fear is always loosing your child, I had no idea of how I would have coped it I was to ever lose Aurora.

Jade finally came out of the restroom when Emily lit her first cigarette. Her hair was wet, her eyes were puffy, and she was wrapped in a towel. Luckily there was no fresh cuts on her arms nor were there any on her legs from what I could see. Relief struck through me, she hadn't cut. She had beat the demon at that moment, but I was still unsure if she could still continue to win the war that was going though her mind on a daily basis.

"Can you light me one?" Jade asked Emily as she pointed with her right index finger that was between Emily's fingers.

"Of course, but only if you'll sit down." Emily replied.

Jade rolled her eyes, jokingly and sat down between Emily and I. "Now I want to tell you what happened." Emily said and Jade nodded. I wrapped my right arm around Jade's back and pulled her closer to me, I knew that she would most likely break down as Emily told her what had happened.

"Liam had been home alone with Lance, Jamie was at work. Liam said that he had Lance sat in his highchair and he was prepared lunch for the both of them. Liam had cut up apples for Lance, since y'know Lance loved them. Liam hadn't cut one of the pieces small enough and Lance ended up choking on it. Liam tried his hardest to help Lance to get him to quit choking but he had no idea how to perform the Heimlich maneuver on a child. So Liam did the best that he could do and that was to call an ambulance, and he continued to try to help Lance get to stop choking. But within three minutes Lance was gone, even if he ambulance had arrived there he would have been already gone. It took the ambulance over twenty minutes to reach his house. Liam and Jamie are devastated about it and we can't be mad at him for it, it was an accident. Liam had really thought that he had cut the pieces small enough for him. That is what happened."

When Emily finally finished the story, Jade and I were crying. I hadn't noticed that I was crying until I tasted salt on my tongue. "I am going to call him." Jade said softly.

"Don't it's already late there, text him and tell him that you will call him in the morning. " Emily suggested.

"Okay." Jade nodded her head.

A hour and a half later Damian arrived at Jade and Emily's home with McDonald's. Jade and I had decided to stay in and eat instead of going out. Aurora's grandparents had dropped her off at Jade's home because I had told them that my vehicle wasn't working correctly, which was a lie but I didn't want to leave Jade alone.

We all sat at the kitchen table, Aurora sat in my lap. Damian had gotten her a kids meal and she was playing with the small toy. I watched Jade from across the table as she pushed the small amount of food that she had on her plate, and at the moment I knew that she was going to relapse. I knew I would be there to try to stop her but I had a feeling that no matter what I said, no matter what I did, nothing would stop her this time.
