Not Warriors- Awsten Knight

Chapter 20

Collectively everyone on the bus with them had picked up on the fact that Awsten and Claire were on good terms, the Parx boys were thrilled over the fact that they had managed to put their past aside and so were the boys from Sonic Heros.

The only thing that Collin, Tyler, Derek, and Chris really cared about was Claire's happiness so if it was attributed to her and Awsten becoming friends so be it, they really liked the boys anyway so it was nice they could all hang out together without their being any awkwardness around.

They were currently stopped in a Walmart parking lot, halfway to the next stop of tour and they had a day off tomorrow that they were all thankful for. Even though it had only been a week since tour started, they were tired. 

A week in Warped Tour time felt like a year and they realized they still had so many dates to get through, Sonic Hero's bus was being fixed tomorrow which meant that the giant slumber party they had been having was coming to an end, Claire and the boys were excited to have their own space back but figured that they would still be seeing a lot of Waterparks considering how close they had all grown. 

"I gotta do an Instagram live for my hair dye" Awsten announces to the bus and everyone just nods their heads. 

"You want us to go to the bunks?" Derek asks Awsten and he shakes his head. 

"Nah you're fine, I just figured I'd tell you because if you're sitting out here you'll probably be in the back of the video." he tells him, grabbing a box of hair dye out of one of the bunks that was pilled with everything from clothing, to Jawn's camera equipment. 

Awsten props up his phone, starting the live while he starts putting sunscreen on his face. 

"Waiting for the people to get in!" he says while reading through some of the comments that start pouring into the livestream. 

"Geoff say hi to the people!" he says cheerfully and Claire giggles softly in the background at the voice he is using to talk to people. 

"Hi people!" Geoff says happily with a small wave. 

Awsten stands at his phone reading through the comments, "my crush asked me who I like what do I say?" he reads out loud, stopping for a minute to think of an answer.

"Geoff, because then you make yourself seem unavailable thus more desirable." he replies confidently then adding in at the end "I shouldn't say that."

"That's terrible advice Awsten oh my god" Claire says softly and he looks over at her smiling before mouthing "I know" back to her. 

"You should tell your crush you like them, they probably are asking you because they like you too. But remember if it doesn't go your way that's probably for a reason and you'll like someone else eventually." Claire calls out from her spot, and Awsten nods thoughtfully. 

"Claire's probably right you should listen to her." he tells the livestream and the comments pick up so fast he almost can't read them. 

"Yes Sonic Hero's is currently on our bus, their AC is getting fixed tomorrow. Stinky boys & Claire say hi" he calls out to the rest of the bus and everyone says hi in unison. 

He reads through some more comments, which were currently about their new friends.

"Have I listened to Sonic Hero's new album?" he reads out and he shakes his head, "new album isn't out yet but I will listen literally the moment it drops."

"My favorite off of their first album? Forever Yours and Fever Dream for sure. They both go so hard live." he says smiling.

"We will show you the new album later today, you get an early listen if you want" Derek tells Awsten and everyone agrees with him.
