"I feel like the seats of your car are never going to dry." Claire says with a laugh as they get out of the car.
The ride back to Awsten's parents house took about an hour longer than it normally would due to the amount of traffic there was on the freeway, neither of them minded it though considering the fact they were just happy to be spending time with each other.
To Claire it felt like a weight was lifted off of her shoulders now that she had gotten the chance to talk to Awsten about not wanting to be in Philly without him, she loved California when there were there for the dates for Warped.
But in all reality she would move anywhere in order to be with him, she hadn't expected it to go as smoothly as it had but she was thankful for the fact that he was on the same page as her about not wanting to be apart.
The only issue that she knew that she would have to face sooner rather than later was talking to the boys about moving away from the place they had all called home for so long, she wanted them to know that just because she was moving away didn't make any sort of difference in their friendships.
Claire also knew though that they were all so close, it wasn't going to be easy leaving them behind.
Just because she was moving didn't mean that she would stop working with them, and helping them with the band.
In fact there wasn't a point that she ever felt like she would step away from Sonic Hero's completely, she just hoped that the boys would be happy for her.
"No you're definitely right, I think they'll probably be damp for forever to be honest with you. Next time I won't throw you into the dirty lake." Awsten admits as Claire crosses her arms over her chest looking at him frowning.
"Oh so now you're admitting that the lake is dirty?" she says playfully as she goes up to the door, unlocking it with her keys.
"Back up, do you still have your fucking key to the house?" Awsten asks in disbelief and Claire shakes her head smiling.
"Mom gave me a new one this morning." she says happily holding the key up to show him, "It's glitter."
He smiles in return nodding, "Glad everyone in my family can agree on you being that color even if they don't understand what it means." he teases following into the house behind her.
"Hi mom!" Claire calls out placing her keys down on the counter in the kitchen.
"Oh good! You kids are home, and you're-" Ginny starts as she comes around the corner from the living room. "You're wet. You're both literally drenched is it raining?" she asks concerned as Claire rolls her eyes shaking her head.
Awsten let out a giggle behind the both of them, "No Awsten decided we were going swimming today." Claire says pointing down at her clothes.
"Awsten Constantine. You can't just throw her in the water like that what if she gets sick?" his mom reprimands as his jaw drops.
"Hello?" he says stubbornly. "What if I get sick? I got in the water too!" he fights back and Ginny shakes her head.
"That was your choice, if you get sick then you have to deal with it." Ginny tells him with no sympathy whatsoever. "Both of you go upstairs and change, maybe shower to warm up. Dinner will be started in about a hour and a half, I have to run to the store to grab a few things and pick dad up from work." she says sweetly, ushering them up the stairs.
"Why do you have to pick dad up?" Awsten asks curiously at the base of the stairs.
"His cars at the shop, and he's just been driving yours usually but you guys took it today. Not a big deal at all, I'll be over by the hospital anyway." Ginny assures him.
"Oh if I had known that I wouldn't taken it today." Awsten replies with a frown and his mom shakes her head.
"Nonsense silly. You two deserved to have a day that you could do whatever you wanted, go get cleaned up. I'll be back soon, I love you both." she tells them.
"Love you." Awsten and Claire reply in unison.
"I can't fucking believe this! My own mother! You know what they always say! It's your own flesh and blood! Not even caring that I could get sick!" Awsten complains as they make their way up the stairs, getting caught off guard completely when he feels Claires lips pressed to his.
"I'm not complaining but what was that?" he asks sweetly, his forehead presses to hers as she leans in for another kiss.
"That was me getting you to stop." Claire replies playfully, as she kisses him a bit harder this time letting her hands run through his still wet hair.
"This is also me, proposing you get in the shower with me." she says quietly, looking up at him as his eyes grow wide, and he swallows thickly.
"You want me to shower with you?" he repeats.
Claire grabs Awsten's hands as she backs into the hallway where the bathroom is nodding, "That's what I said. Are you okay with that?" she asks, looking for his permission.
Awsten nods eagerly with a smile on his face, "Can't imagine a world where I wouldn't be okay with showering with you bear." he replies playfully as he leans into the shower to turn the water on letting it heat up.
"Oh yeah?" Claire asks quietly, reaching down grabbing the hem of Awstens shirt her fingers brushing her stomach softly. "Can I take this off?" she asks him, looking at him for consent.
"Absolutely." he assures her, lifting his arms over his head to help her. "Can I take yours off too?" he asks her softly, and she nods in agreement.
"Words princess, I need to hear you say yes." he mumbles against her lips, his hands still brushing the bottom of her shirt.
"Yes, god yes just take it off please." she says breathlessly as Awsten nods smiling.
"I swear you get more beautiful every single day Claire." he tells her, leaving soft kisses on her jawline, as they both take off the rest of their clothing.
"Keep these compliments going and you'll get me in the shower with you everyday." she says softly, stepping into the shower and letting the hot water run down her back.
"I think I like the sound of that." Awsten tells her as he wraps his arms around her waist pulling her in close.
"Only have a few more dates left of tour, then it's just you and me for a while." he whispers into the crook of her neck as she nods.
"Just you and me Aws." she repeats lovingly.
