Chapter Eight

Dip Dip Dip…

The night is always beautiful with the moon shining bright on the twinkling sky. Even though the sky was extremely beautiful and the night seemed gorgeous, everything about the night was restless and eerily silent.

The silence was soon disappearing as the howls and mourns of various wolves took over it. The calm night soon turned dangerous as the moon disappeared and dark clouds filled the sky, hiding the twinkling and sparkling stars. Anyone could say that soon a not so sweet thunderstorm was about to hit and it would leave it's after effects clearly.

When the first thunder struck the night sky, the wolves in the room that held sadness and depression through it, flinched terribly.

The room was extremely clean and tidy and the walls were coloured bright white. There were two single beds placed in the room that almost looked too uncomfortable. And on one bed laid, a pale, almost lifeless Alpha--their head Alpha--Jungkook.

The IV attached to his arm's blue veins that should have looked a little green rather than blue caused the constant sound---the only sound in the room that kept everyone awake even though it was midnight.

But soon the calmness subsided as Jungkook took in heavy breaths and thrashed a little on the bed. The oxygen mask gets moved from its place, when it's not supposed to. His movements made the other present in the room immediately alert.

Taehyung was about to rush towards his mate when he saw Jimin already next to him. Yes, Taehyung was inside the room along with Jimin, Namjoon and Jin as Yoongi was in charge of the pack. Taehyung didn't sleep a wink and the other's stood still at their spots because how could they even move or sleep or eat when their head Alpha, their family, their Jungkook was almost on his deathbed.

Jungkook was right there, lying on the bed yet something was missing. Something big. Jungkook's scent, his sweet, delicious, cotton candy fragrance, scent was missing. It was simply bitter, a bitter scent guarded him that made everyone concerned.

Jimin immediately pressed the emergency button that was attached next to the patient's bed, alerting the doctor.

"WE CAN'T WAIT LIKE THIS, HE IS IN PAIN, WHERE IS THE DOCTOR?" Taehyung's loud voice echoed in the whole room automatically flinching Jin and Namjoon who were standing next to him, worry etched to their features. They all were restless, they all were concerned but Taehyung felt much more than they did yet he felt nothing because his emotions at the moment were all over the place yet he felt numb. But him screaming and yelling at the moment was kind of obvious.

"Taehyung, please calm down. The doctor is our family as well and he wil---there he is. Hoseok, please see what's wrong with him, we're scared." Jin replied to Taehyung but eventually turned his attention to the doctor of the pack--Jung Hoseok.

Jung Hoseok is 30 years old, the pack doctor but more like a family to Jungkook. He is a beta married to a beautiful young omega named Ami. They have been mates for five years and now eventually a happy married couple. Hoseok may not be directly related to Jungkook like the others but he is extremely important to him and it's the same the other way around as well. Hoseok was given shelter in the pack house when he was only ten and from then Jungkook and Hoseok were best friends even though they had a long difference between their ages. Hoseok loved him like his own younger brother and Jungkook had even announced in the pack that Jung Hoseok is none other than his own brother and Hoseok had cried some heavy rainfall like tears that day.

So when Jungkook was brought to the hospital this morning, Hoseok had gasped and immediately had tears running down his cheeks but he knew he had to be prompt because Jungkook needed him more than anyone. He had to fulfill his duties and responsibilities and be the perfect doctor he is and protect his brother. His brother needed him very much at the moment and he knew it.
