Encountering Love. (TAEKOOK)

Chapter Nineteen.

Another long week passed yet some things changed. 

Taehyung doesn't talk much like before. He always kept his conversations short with Jungkook but now he doesn't have long conversations with Jimin or Seokjin as well. 

The matter didn't go unnoticed by Jimin and he even made sure Jungkook noticed it who already was well aware of it. So when Jimin kept talking about how hurt he feels, Jungkook couldn't help but fall into deep thoughts. 

"Brother, set him free." Jimin couldn't help but utter once again. 

"I am not holding him here, Jimin." Jungkook had replied once again with the same stern tone. 

"You aren't but then again his love for YOU is." Jimin said as he sighed loudly. 

"I don't love him. He is a free wolf." Jungkook said as he made sure his eyes were stuck at the papers in front of him. 

"He is hurting so much, brother. He looks pale and skinny. All he does nowadays is work and he doesn't even have conversations with us anymore. His smile doesn't appear anymore and nor does his charming voice. Why did you break him like this, Brother?" Jimin asked as his voice cracked a little because he could feel his best friend's pain. 

"You feel so much for him yet you're forgetting he tried to kill your own blood, your own brother. That doesn't matter to you?" Jungkook questioned, irritated. 

"He didn't. He didn't try to kill you. And if he came here to harm you---us then I would say we deserve it for what we did with his only family. Father died without any worries, without any harm knowing he killed innocents so we have to bear that karma. If he did harm us, brother, let me remind you, he didn't, let me tell you we deserved it. Yet what you're doing with him, he deserves none of it. And one day which isn't very far, you will regret it. You will crave for him yet he will be far from your reach. Now you're being selfish because you can feel his emotions through the mate bond but one day when you can't do that anymore, you will understand how losing someone you love feels." Jimin said as his voice was stern and his eyes held fury. 

"How many times do I have to tell you that I don't love him, I don't love Taehyung--"

"A-Alpha, may I come in?" Taehyung asked extremely softly, almost tired as if his voice had lost its energy as well. 

"T-Taehyung---how long were you standing th---"

"That's not important, A-Alpha. I came here because of the sweets your neighboring pack has sent for you." Taehyung said as he walked inside the pack hall slowly, almost dragging his legs. 

"Sweets? I made a good decision when I accepted their offer of being friends, right brother?" Jungkook asked Jimin who simply hummed disinterestedly. 

"Give me the sweets." Jungkook said as he tried taking the sweets from Taehyung when Taehyung stopped him. 

Suddenly Yugyeom, Lisa, Seokjin, Namjoon entered the pack hall. 

"I heard you were having sweets without us." Seokjin said as Namjoon laughed. 

"Best friends can betray us too, Jin hyung." Yugyeom said while he pouted. 

"Oppa, don't eat alone." Lisa said, chuckling as Namjoon laughed again. 

"I obviously won't, we will all share." Jungkook said laughing. 

"NO! NO ONE WILL HAVE THIS. I came here to tell you Alpha that these sweets are poisoned, I have a bad feeling about this." Taehyung almost screamed that startled everyone in the room. 

"As if. What proof do you have? Nothing right?" Jungkook asked and shook his head. 

"Please Alpha, don't eat these. I am not tasting it before you as well because my gut feeling tells me this is poisoned." Taehyung said as he pleaded as much as he could.
