If they stand by you during the bad times, they deserve to be there during the good times.
Waking up the next morning to find Malia not in my arms made me panic. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and I searched the room to find her, but she was nowhere to be seen. I was about to start worrying until I smelt eggs cooking and her scent also wafted up to into my nose as well plus the sound of her music, easing my nerves.
She was in the kitchen. I wore my grey sweatpants and stayed shirtless, heading down to the kitchen. Once I got in, I saw her cooking in nothing but a shirt of mine that was big on her, but damn did she look good. She was listening to her music and dancing along to the tunes.
"Buongiorno amore mio." I told her as I wrapped my arms around her waist, gently so I wouldn't scare her. She leaned her back against my chest and smiled.
"Good morning handsome." She greeted back.
"What are you cooking?" I asked.
"Breakfast, eggs, bacon, waffles, the whole lot." She answered gesturing to the food that was on the plates near her. I kissed her neck causing her to let out a moan.
"But what if I'm hungry for something else?" I questioned as I continued to kiss her neck up towards her earlobe and then I took it into my mouth, which resulted in her gasping.
"Mm. I'm not on the menu Teo." She replied.
"Why not?" I wondered.
"Because I wanted to talk to you, after breakfast." She explained and I stopped kissing her.
"Oh no, that's not good." I told her looking at her, she turned her head to look at me.
"What?" She looked at me worriedly.
"Normally when someone says 'I want to talk to you, but first food,' is never good." I explained.
"Oh, no. No that is not what I meant at all." She confessed.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah baby, you're stuck with me."
"I wouldn't have it any other way." She smiled at me and I smiled back before capturing her lips in mine.
A while later we were sitting at the dining room table, having breakfast and talking about some random things. I could tell that she wasn't herself, she was nervous and it was getting me nervous as well. I tried not to overthink and to give her the time she needed until she would tell me what was going on in that beautiful head of hers.
After finishing up breakfast and we cleaned up the table plus the dishes, we headed out to the backyard where we sat on the outdoor couch. She was snuggled into my arms, her head rested on my shoulder.
"I want to tell you something Teo." She spoke up breaking the comfortable silence we were in.
"What's wrong dolcezza?" I wondered. She pulled back a little in order to look at me.
"Nothing's wrong, I just came to a decison." She explained.
"And what pray-tell would that be?" I questioned.
