///  we hate luna!!!!   ///

The gang meeting ended about five minutes ago. Brett, Eddy and Raph were talking about something as the other three girls called me over to them.

I slowly walked towards them as we sat on the floor. I could almost feel Brett's eyes drill a hole on the back of my head as I listened to their conversation.

"So uh, Dette!" Luna says as she clapped her hands together. Serene and Kaylie looks at me, hopes sparkling in their eyes.

Why is she calling me "Dette" too? We're not even close. We just met today. I almost rolled my eyes at her.

I don't like this already.

"Hey," I nodded at her in acknowledgement. She looked at Kaylie, and Kaylie spoke.

"Okay, Dettey Bird. We know that you've had a teeny tiny crush on Brett before," she started.

Until now, actually.

I wanted to answer.

She continued. "And we know that it's long gone, right?"

Fuck no. We kissed, come on!

"Actually, about that-" I opened my mouth to speak but Luna interrupted me.

"Great! You can help me get with him, right?" She asked as she clasped her hands, her body moving excitedly.

Serene and Kaylie waited for my reaction. They didn't even give me a chance to speak. I felt embarrassed and frustrated at the same time that I couldn't speak my thoughts.

I sighed, trying to hide my frustration.

"I'll see what I can do. Is that everything you guys wanted to talk about?" I ask impatiently.

Serene laughs at me. "Geez, what happened to the both of you? You and Brett really are best friends!"

She must be talking about our grumpy moods today. Well, I'm not feeling it. What're they gonna do about it?

Kaylie chuckles lightly as she shook her head, and Luna giggles awkwardly.

"Is that everything?" I ignored her question as I asked again.

"God, Claudette. You have to calm down girl, it's not like we're asking you to tie Brett and I in a holy matrimony," Luna said, attitude lacing her tone.

What. The. Fuck.

My reaction was probably similar to Serene and Kaylie's. Their heads snapped to her as she and I had a stare battle.

"Excuse me?" I raised my eyebrow.

I wanted to remind her whose property she was in.

When she noticed that Serene and Kaylie went silent and were watching us, she immediately backed down. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she gazed on the floor.

Keeping the good girl facade, eh?

"I-I didn't mean it like that, I'm sorry," she whispered in a very soft tone. Kaylie and Serene made eye contact, as if they were talking to each other.

They probably think I'm the bad guy now. I huffed in annoyance and stood up. But I was forced to sit back down when someone pulls my hand.

I look back and saw that Luna was holding on to me. She hung her head low as she spoke.
