The remaining times that Brett and I spent on the way to the beach house consisted of his hand clasped in mine, stolen glances, and Tchaikovsky floating in the background.

After a few more minutes of driving, we could spot Raph and Serene's car. He slows down the one we were riding. His hands leave my fingers cold as he puts both on the steering wheel.

While he wasn't looking, I took the time to admire him.

My Brett focused on the road. His biceps moved along with the rest of his body as he skillfully turned the car towards the entrance. His lips moved as he said something. He smiles, his eyes crinkled. God, that smile. Everything feels so surreal. His eyes gave me a peek to his soul, his pure, beautiful soul. A soul filled with music and love. 

"You should learn how to stop staring, or maybe do it in a more subtle way," he spoke as he stopped the car. I laugh at him as I opened the door.

Serene immediately goes up to me. Seeing the scratches on my face, she covers her mouth.

"Fuck, that stupid otter!" She exclaims as she held my shoulders. I chuckle at her as Brett exits his car. Serene's eyes darted to him, then back at me. To Brett, then at me.

"You guys good now?" She whispers as Brett and Raph mumbled with one another.

I couldn't contain my smile as I break her the news. "Course, I'm his girlfriend!"

Serene's brows flew to the highest heavens. "No shit?!"

I nodded with a very big grin on my face. She squeals and I do too. The both of us jumped up and down as Raphael gave us a weird look. Brett just gives us a little smile.

"What's the news, ladies?" Kaylie says as she approached us, her arms open wide.

In too much happiness, Serene flung her arms at Kaylie as she pulled us both into a big hug.

"Brett and Dette!" She exclaimed cheerfully.

"Brett and Dette what?" Kaylie asks once we've pulled away from the hug. I bit my lip to prevent myself from smiling too much.

Serene crossed her arms, giving her an annoyed look. Kaylie honestly just looks confused. I chuckle as I wrapped my arm around Kaylie's shoulder.

"Guess who has a boyfriend now?"

Her eyes widened in realization. "Holy shit!"

"I know right? That's what I said!" Serene exclaims as she leaned on Brett's car.

Silence covered us, but all of us had a smile on our faces. I smiled too much, my lip started to bleed. I winced slightly as I touched it, blood on my fingers. The girls looked at me, one in concern, one in frustration.

"Are you okay? I think we should get going," Kaylie says with a worried expression. Meanwhile, I could literally sense Serene fuming with flames coming out of her nose.

I agreed with Kaylie. It was now scorching hot outside, and I think the comfort of being inside the beach house would be nice.

All of us got our bags as we proceeded to go to the private house Kaylie owns. Her family is crazy rich, that's why we could stay here after class ended.
