Claudette's POV
"... No, I have to..."
"What did she do anyway? It's not..."
"... Kill her!"
I snap in and out of my consciousness as my entire body screamed in pain. The voices were hushed but I could identify it as Luna's and Diego's. The sounds went as fast as it came, but I could feel myself getting back to my senses.
I let out a little sound as I tried to stand, but I couldn't even move from where I was sitting. My hands were tied, as well as my feet. Dried blood went its way to my nostrils as it stained my clothes. Bloodied and bruised, I tried moving my fingers, but I wasn't able to move very quickly as pain erupted in my limbs. My feet were so cold I can't even feel them.
Before I could get too absorbed in my thoughts, Luna's sickly sweet voice itched my ears.
"Oh, look who's awake," she mumbled.
It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the bright light.
Diego stood uncomfortably behind Luna, slightly shaking his head. He glanced at me, his eyes void of emotions. My eyes flicker back to Luna, her red lips glowing. Her hair was a little disheveled as she waked towards me.
She did not speak.
Instead, before I could even comprehend what was happening, my head turn to my side. My cheek was burning with a stinging sensation.
The slap was so hard I'm surprised I could even turn my head back to face her.
I could feel myself getting more lightheaded as her hand clawed my cheek in the process.
She was going crazy now. Every part of my body throbbed in pain. But she didn't hold back in assaulting me. She went hellbent as every inch of me bled. I can't even lift a muscle, let alone fight back. I couldn't do anything. No one stopped her. Not even Diego.
She kept screaming profanities at me. Kept shouting that it was my fault. Mine.
" I don't even know what I did to you!" I yell out as she yanked my hair, pulling a couple strands off.
"Of course you don't, you brat! It's all your fault!"
"What did I do to you anyway?!"
She scratches my forehead, letting her nails rip the skin from eyebrows down to my cheek. I cry out as it spewed out blood, I could feel it. The pain became a thousand times worse as she was pulled off of me. It gave me time to realize how painful the situation I'm in, the adrenaline dying down.
"Let go of me, Diego! You bitch, let go!"
"I won't until you calm the fuck down."
Breathing heavily, those were the only sounds echoing throughout the room along with my whimpers of suffering. She kept murmuring things while glaring daggers at me, with Diego's arms the only thing that keeps her from attacking me again like a wild cat.
My lips were bleeding by the time she was done, so is my eye. I could feel the bruises forming yet again, giving no time to the old ones to heal.
"Do you know why you're here, Claudette?" She asks exhaustedly.
I can't even answer.
