That night, we ate dinner at the beach's resto.

After we did, we headed back to the beach house. Raph, Kaylie, Serene, and I were walking side by side. Brett and Eddy were walking behind us. Luna was too, unfortunately.

I turned my head towards them. Brett and Eddy were talking, while Brett looked so annoyed. My eyes travelled to his sleeve. Luna's hands were on Brett's hoodie.

My eyes sharpened at her movements. Once she saw me looking, she immediately let go as Brett distanced. He held his hands behind his back. Luna smiled at me sheepishly as we continued walking. I almost rolled my eyes at her.

After a little more strolling, we arrive at the house. I sent mom a little text, as well as Christopher to update them both.

Claudette : hey mom, just finished dinner! :)

Mom <3 : good. just finished my medicine :)

I sent her a heart emoji.

Fortunately for us, mom was getting a little better day by day. Her condition is okay, though the doctor told us that she may still need surgery. That's why Chris and I have been saving money.

Christobitch : hey mf r u ded

It seems like I didn't have to do the first move after all. I chuckle as I replied.

Claubitch : yes i am, alive and well unfortunately for u

He sent me a picture with his middle finger right beside his face. I laugh as I saved it on my phone. Chris and I have been getting closer over these past few days. And he also revealed that he had a lover named Ian. Yes, he's gay. And yes, he's the absolute best friend / brother I could ever ask for!

I walk inside, all the others ahead of me. Brett looks back, and I send him a little gesture that told him I was fine. He stares a little bit longer before giving me a smile.

I sat on the couch as Eddy sat beside me too. Brett was inside our room, watching something because I could hear him. Kaylie was in the bathroom, singing her heart out. I don't know about Luna, I don't care enough, but I could hear her speaking to someone over the phone. The couple, Serene and Raph took a walk at the beach even though it's currently 9:30 PM.

I focused my eyes on the television as I hear Eddy sigh for a hundredth time now. I look at him, curiosity tingling my brain. He notices my gaze on him, he smiles.

"You good?" I ask him.

He was the very first friend I had before the gang. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be dating Brett, or I wouldn't be hanging out with these super cool people. So it'd be my responsibility to care for him, as well as our other friends.

His eyes immediately lost their sparkle. He looked tired and exhausted. Concern instantly filled me as I asked him once again, if he was okay. He sighs.

"Look, Dette. Please don't tell anyone else," he said in a hushed whisper. I nodded slowly, agreeing to what he said. He opened his mouth to speak, but he didn't continue on what he was saying.

He's hesitating.

"Eddy, if you wanted someone listen to you, please know that I'm always here," I suggested with a smile.
