Athan's POV

Cain slept on the couch and I slept up in one of the rooms with Heaven.

I laid down next to the small white haired girl and stared into her eyes.

"I want you to know, that, I did not intend on hurting them"

She sat up and crawled on top of me where she was laying on my chest and looking down at me.

I pulled the blankets over us to where she was under the covers with her. Her bare skin rested against mine and I rested my hand on her butt.

"I know, I just wish people wouldn't be so evil"

I shifted my eyes to the side in thought and looked back at her.

"Yes dear, I wish this as well. However humans and vampires happen to be the most evil creatures on earth. It's just how things are. And you can't change it"

She was silent for a long time in thought, forgetting once again that I can hear her thoughts at all times.

"Darling, please, let's forget about it right now" I said as I kissed her forehead.

Just than a whole new anxiety entered her mind and I turned the light on right after.

"Tell me what's on your mind" I said as she stared down at me with wide eyes.

"I'm not meaning to worry but, what if you some day die, what if the cults kill you"

I laughed out loud at that and held her close to me.

"My muse, death shouldn't be your worry, if anything it should be my worry because I cannot die, ever, vampires of full royal blood are completely immortal. The only way I will ever be separated from you is if somebody burns or cuts my head off and I assure you I am literally the strongest being on this planet" she sighed a breath of relief and relaxed her body against mine.

She asked one more question before I turned the light off.

"What if I die"

"As long as you are by my side, nobody is getting their hands on you dear, and if you do some day die, we will be together even in death and beyond. That means you are enterally mine and I am eternally yours" I said as I turned the light off and gently kissed her lips this time.

I looked up at her as her beautiful blue eyed looked down at me. I felt my heart skip a beat when the red moon that shone through the window had reflected red off her pale face. She smiled down at me with such grace. Her skin was warm and like silk upon mine.

Heaven's POV

I stared down at the beautiful man I laid on top of. The red moon from out side the window lit half of his face a burning red and his still yellowish green eyes stared up at me with a love that burned so bright. He smiled gently at me and blew a kiss from where he laid. I could have swore I felt the air from his lips land upon my cheek. He brushed his hair back with his hand and closed his eyes for a split second before opening them again to stare at me once more.

"Athan?" I said in a low whisper as he only stared at me not answering. He blinked a slow blink as his eyes faded to the light blue they normally were. "Yes my muse?" He said in a deep voice as I ran my hands down his face, contemplating if I should speak my words out loud. He smiled already knowing my next words.

"Can I tell you a secret?"

He ran his hand up and down my bare back and only stared up at me with love. He didn't have to answer that question because his gaze told me all I needed to know.

"I love you"

His response sent both chills and warmth down my spine as his finger nails only gracefully slid down my bare back as he pressed his cold finger tips upon the goose bumps on my skin, smoothing them down once again and filling me with the warmth his skin never carried.

"My muse, that's a beautiful secret, and it's one I will carry through all eternity" he said in such a poetic way that sunk its way through my entire soul.

"Can I tell you a secret darling?" He asked as he ran his fingernails lightly across my face.

I nodded my head looking down at the beautiful vampire underneath me.

"I am deeply and madly in love with you, will you keep my secret?"

I crossed my fingers and held them in front of my heart as I looked down at him.

"That's a beautiful secret my prince, and it's one that I will carry even in death"
