Lucifer's POV

Drake and I decided to take a walk in the forest after breakfast and the women stayed with Athan and Moon at her house while we did.

"I see you have found a friend in Atalie?" I asked as he turned his head towards me.

"Yea, she's quite lonely, and fearful. My hope is to make her less sad and afraid"

I nudged his arm and smiled.
"Are you going to make her your girlfriend?"

He shook his head and smiled.

"No, even if I did want her as a girlfriend, I doubt she would want me, my face is mutilated and I have no eyes for her to enjoy. I would not be able to see her smile nor her beauty and I have no beauty for her to enjoy. It would simply be unfair to both her and I"

I glanced at him for a long time while I thought.

"It's not visual affection that matters. Love is in the eye of the beholder. And beauty doesn't lie upon the flesh but instead within the soul. I can feel Mara's love for me even when I am asleep next to her. When I lay my head down to sleep at night, her face is what I see and the energy of her love radiates through my entire being"

I swear if he had eyes he would have rolled them at those words.

"When I close my eyes, all I see is blackness. My dreams do not differ from my waking reality Lucifer. I cannot imagine such love without ever feeling it. And I cannot imagine such beauty without ever having a chance to see it. I have never seen the world accept for the view I get from energy and vibrations. There for I cannot possibly grasp the concept of sight"

I stared at the ground in thought as we walked.

"You don't have to see in order to love, your heart cannot see yet it allows you to comfort her anyways right"

Drake was completely silent for a long time before he responded with a short and sweet response.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore"

With that I completely dropped the conversation and he seemed to be at ease with it.

"Dude, the further we get the more this area smells like weed" I said as I looked around as we walked.

Drake sniffed the air and smiled.

"Wait, do you think wild pot leaves are growing around here?" He asked as he raised his brows.

"I don't know, but if we gather enough of it, I can make my famous giant joints" I said as I began to eye every plant I found.

Just than we walked upon the most vast area of nothing but pot leaves.

"Oh fuck yea" I said as I began carefully picking leaf after leaf and gently placing them in my bag. Before I knew it both I and Drake had our bag full of nothing but pot leaves.

"What are we going to roll it with" asked Drake in a lazy sort of way as if he were tired.

"They say Bible pages make good rolling paper, that's normally what I use"

Drake turned his head to me and raised his eyebrows.

"Dude, that's so disrespectful but funny as fuck"

I laughed.

"I don't have a very good history with the church my man, I couldn't even give 2 shits about them"

We walked back to the tree and checked our surroundings before entering.

The girls laughed with Athan as he told stories about him and his brother.

He looked up at us and smiled at our return.

He sniffed the air and raised his eyebrows with a smile.

"I smell some really fresh weed"

"Yes yes you do" I said as We both dumped what we had found on the table.

Moon's eyes went wide and she giggled.

"You act as if you are ready to roll all of it into one joint"

Athan smiled a fangy smile and glanced at Moon with excitement.

"I think he is, he doesn't look like he's wanting to roll more than one and honestly I'm down for whatever he has planned"

I looked around and than smiled wider.

"We have to find Loki and Zero, I don't want them to miss this" I said as I grabbed my knife and placed it in the holder on my belt.

"You guys can stay here while I go find them, it's getting really late so they should be either finished or almost finished with whatever they are doing" I said as I stepped up the ladder and exited the underground home.

I ran through the forest as deep as I could go until I heard foot steps in the distance.

Just to be safe I hid behind a tree and listened for voices.

"That was truly amazing man, what was that entities name"

"His name was Druid and he's a very wise man"

Just than I jumped out from behind the tree. Loki didn't flinch but Zero did only a little bit.

"God damn man, you can't be doing that shit to me" he said with a growing smile.

"Dude, Drake and I found a shit ton of wild pot"

Loki's eyes went wide and he rested his head in his hands with a smile peeking out.

"Don't tell me your going to-" he said before I cut him off.

I nodded my head slowly followed by a wide grin.

"Oh I am and it's going to be just like the old times"

"Alright, just as long as you don't decide to fight another kangaroo" he said with a smart ass smile before he patted me on the back and walked in front of me ready to lead the way back.

"That was different, that kangaroo was asking for an ass whooping" I said as I rested my arms on my hips bucking out my chest.

"That kangaroo whooped your ass tho"

I furrowed my brows and glared at him with a cocky grin.

"I won that battle my guy"

"You didn't win shit, you got knocked the fuck out"
