Chapter 61

Zero's POV

A tall man with a goatee walked out from behind a tree and twirled a knife in his hand.

"That shall be thou warning. Thou have illegally entered our land. Thou shall leave with thou cult or thy shall meet death" said the man in a loud voice as he stood firm and tall.

"Thou have met with my resist. Willing isn't I to depart." I said coldly as I leaned against the tree next to Lucifer who just relaxed in a non caring stance.

"Thou shall fear for his life" he said as he stepped a couple of feet closer to me.

He looked directly in my eyes as he stood at the exact same height as me.

He looked me up and down and than back into my eyes before licking the top of his teeth. He smiled from ear to ear but than dropped it to a light smirk and superior stare.

His eyes were cold and grey. And his skin was just a little darker than mine.

His hair was a mat blackish gray and tattoos with darker meanings than my own were vast upon his skin.

Lucifer's POV

I glanced over at Drake who seemed to be listening closely.

I knew he couldn't see the man Zero spoke to but I decided to describe him.

I leaned over and spoke low so that only he could hear me.

"Bro, I know you can't see this, but Zero has totally met his match. The man he is talking to is literally the same size as him and the exact same personality" I said as I still kept an eye on the man while I kept a tight grip on the ax that I held in my left hand.

Drake leaned his head over and began to speak low.

"Is he a good guy or a bad guy, I can't read his vibes"

"I don't know, I can't tell either. But Zero doesn't seem to be afraid of him" I said as they still stood trying to intimidate each other.

Zero rolled his eyes at the man who looked him in the eyes. "And why shall I fear death. Is said death being cast upon thy by thou hands?" He said as a smile of mockery grew upon his face.

The man who faced him pulled out a knife and tested its sharpness on his finger, drawing blood and licking it off right after.

Zero's eyes with wide but he kept the same mocking smile from before.

He waved his hands in the same mocking way and decided to abandon the language of respect.

"Oooh no I'm so afraid of a knife. Let's be real my guy. I have been stabbed, shot, tortured, beat up, hell, I was even fucking killed at one point. Do you honestly believe I'm afraid of a pussy with a switch blade?" He said with a cold stare as he flicked the blade from his hands without even breaking the stare he had on his eyes.

The blade fell to the ground with a soft clink. The man raised his head still trying to look tough. But you could tell his confidence was running low.

"Come on my guy, who's bringing the death because frankly I miss the taste" snapped Zero as he tauntingly poked at the mans body, trying his best to anger him.

I stepped in between them once I realized the other man had no other weapons.

"Common now men. Both of you could definitely kill each other with one punch I'm sure. But neither of you want to hurt anybody" I said as I glanced at Zero who wore a blank expression.

"Common Zero, if you wanted to hurt him, you would have by now"

Zero rolled his eyes and leaned against the tree, he wore the same expression as he examined his nails.

"I don't know, I'm still debating it" he said as he lifted just his eyes to glare at the man who was just like him.

The man grinned.

"I think your a little bitch hiding behind the leather"

Zero raised his eyebrows as he spoke with a wider grin that showed his fangs.

"I'm everything but little" he said with a deep voice.

The man he spoke to widened his eyes in fear as soon as he saw the fangs.

"A a are you a vampire?"

Zero quickly rested his smile and cleared his throat.

Athan darted his head towards Zero and Zero only glanced at him from the corner of his eyes before he spoke once again.

"Full blooded, is there a problem with that?" He asked as he smiled again, this time licking the fangs that poked out and over his lips.

The man in front of him stared in silence for a long time, but Athan broke the silence.

He stood next to Zero and rolled his eyes as he spoke.

"Look did you wanna fight or not? Because I'm more than willing to make a meal out of anybody who fucks with this man right here and frankly, if you want to be my next, I'm happy to hunt" he said calmly as he casually yawned in disinterest.

The man in front of them rolled his eyes and threw his hands up in defeat.

"Fine, you win, I don't wish to fight and I don't want to die" he said as he stared at the ground.

Zero looked him up and down before speaking.

"Are you with the cults?"

The man nodded his head. "Yea"

Zero sighed and scratched the back of his neck in deep thought as he stared at the ground.

"I wanna make sure you are not a threat to us" said Zero as he dropped his hands to his side.

The man in front of him raised his eyebrows in surprise. "A threat? To you guys? How the fuck am I a threat to a bunch of vampires?"

Zero smiled a half smile and got closer to him.

"I suggest you prove to me that we can trust you" he said as he patted the side of the mans face and continued to speed as he looked him up and down.

"Starting with your name"

The man lifted his chin in pride.

"My name is Gau, meaning Night"

Zero continued to look straight through his soul.

"My name is Zero, meaning numb"

Zero turned around and smiled as if he were trying to secretly tell us of what he were planning. He glanced from me to Athan and they stared as if they were speaking.

Their lips didn't move as they stared at each other and it confused me the more they did it.

Zero than broke the stare and stared over at me.

"Go back to Moons place, I'll be back tonight or tomorrow morning" he said as he stared back at the man in front of him, gesturing his arms out in front of him as if to give Gau a chance to lead. He smiled with sarcasm as Gau stared back with an attitude.

I watched in suspicion but decided to trust him on this one and walk away with the others.
