Chapter 43

Athan's POV

We walked back and Lucifer had decided to bring back the big that the cult had tried to pass for human meat.

Loki sat in the middle of the floor and all 3 of our women sat around him as he told them story's of his adventures with Lucifer back when they were younger.

"So it was back 13 years ago, Lucifer had rolled this giant ass joint that was bigger than our heads. This man got so fucking high and decided he was going to wrestle a kangaroo. Well kangaroos are nothing to fuck with cause they are buff. This kangaroo walked up to him and uppercut him right in the fucking jaw. Talk about ego death. He was out cold."

Lucifer laughed and threw the pig meat down on the ground with proudness.

"Never fuck with a kangaroo, they will beat the fuck out of anybody"

I walked outside by the sea to gather dried wood that laid in the grass away from the water.

Thankfully there was enough to build many fires if we needed to.

I brought back piles of wood and Lucifer and Zero began building the fire as they spoke.

The sun was going down and the sky was hues of pink and orange that reflected off the walls of the cave. The water was still and the sound was calming as we sat in silence as we ate off of the pig.

I thought about my brother and how he would probably be complaining at everything we have gone through and I smiled at the thought of it.

Zero looked over at me and I know he heard my thoughts but he kept it a secret from even me.

"What's on your mind man" he said as he shoved a piece of meat in his mouth.

"I was just wondering if my brother would have enjoyed our adventures if he was alive" I said with a smile.

Loki glanced over at me with concern.

"If you don't mind me asking what happened to your brother" he asked. I turned my head and looked down at Heaven who sat in between my legs.

I only whispered to her. "Are you ok with me talking about Andre my muse" I asked as I ran my fingers through her white hair.

She tilted her head to look up at me and smiled.

"I'm alright with it, it's been long enough for me to heal" she said as she continued eating.

"Andre was a trouble maker. I don't believe he was capable of knowing exactly what good and evil was. I was the one who watched over him to make sure he didn't get anybody killed or destroy our family name. He wanted a human pet because he was lonely and so I set out to find somebody who was willing to come with me. That person was Heaven" I said as I looked down at her before continuing my story.

"Heaven was with another person who was taking advantage of her and for her sake I won't say what this man did but I will assure you that he wasn't left unpunished. I got her out of that situation and gave her a place to eat and sleep. But regretfully, under my care she was abused and bitten by my brother Andre and again he was not left unpunished. While we had went into the other human towns with my father, my brother decided to make a really bad impression on our family as he had taken a small human girl right out of the arms of her family"

I glanced over at Lauren who sat in between Zero's legs just like Heaven was with me.

She glanced over at me smiled and nodded her head as if she knew my question without me even having to ask it.

"The human girl that he had taken was indeed Lauren who is now protected by Zero. Andre had bitten Lauren but her family decided to form a towns mob that some how made it to our palace and Andre had escaped into the forest with Lauren where he was surrounded. He used Lauren as a threat as he held a knife to her neck. When he was forced to release her, they took him and burned him for his crimes"
