Chapter 38

Lauren's POV

3 nights had passed and we finally approached a giant tropical looking island that seemed to only be trees.

We all paddled as fast as we could towards the island and reached the shore where a man stood on the sand.

We reached the shore and Lucifer stepped off the raft and onto the sand.

"AAAH THE GREAT LUCIFER HAS RETURNED"

Lucifer flicked the man off with a smile. "Oh fuck off" said Lucifer in a joking way as the man approached him and gave him a hug.

"How did you know I was returning" asked Lucifer.

"The guides have their way of knowing everything and they told me you were on your way" he said with a shoulder shrug.

Zero held me close to him as if his guard was up and Athan held Heaven within his jacket in front of him. Lucifer was the only one who's guard wasn't up and Mara smiled as if she had grew up here and had no reason to fear.

"The people aren't going to take well to you being here man, but the bars are just now opening if you wanna come hang out" he asked and Lucifer turned to all of us as if he was asking if we wanted to join.

None of us minded and we were all really hungry.

We walked up to a bar and Lucifers friend stepped aside and laughed.

"You go in first and see their reaction man"

Lucifer smiled a grin that stretched from ear to ear. He tied his dreads up in a bun and swung the door open walking in. We all walked in behind him and a man behind the bar looked at him as if he were seeing a ghost.

"Lucious is back" said Lucifer stretching his arms out announcing his arrival in a taunt.

"You got some fucking nerve showing your face around here" said the man behind the counter with narrow eyes.

"Tell me" Lucifer sniffed the air around him. "How's the town been smelling lately" he said as he pulled the stool out from the bar and sat down.

A women with long blonde hair walked out from the back and stared at Lucifer before walking back where she came out of. An tall and buff man with short blonde hair walked out in her place and walked up to Lucifer.

"You aren't welcome here" he said as he looked Lucifer in the eyes.

Lucifer rolled his eyes and smiled.

"Don't come in here acting all hard cause you aren't" said the blonde haired man as Lucifer threw his head back in laughter.

"Your mom said I was hard last night" replied Lucifer.

The man went to throw a punch but Lucifer caught his fist in his hand.

"Hey hey hey now, there's no need for violence, I wouldn't wanna fuck your ass up in front of all these people. How about you get me a nice cold beer" he said as Lucifer tapped his face with his hand with a smile.

The man stared at Lucifer in silence for a long time before filling a glass with beer and slamming it on the bar in front of him.

"Here's your fucking beer dick head"

Lucifer smiled and looked up at the man.

"That's a good boy, now get out of my face" he said as Athan came up behind him and spoke calmly.

"Heaven and I are going for a walk, I'm a bit anxious around all these people" he said as he looked down at Heaven who looked to be more anxious than him.

"Alright, meet us outside of the bar when you get back, we don't want to leave without anybody and we don't want anybody to get lost. The people around here are kind of loony" said Lucifer loud enough for the blonde haired man to hear him.

The blonde haired man turned around just enough to glare at him from the corner of his eyes and Lucifer held his middle finger up in his eyes view.

Zero sat down next to Lucifer and I sat in the middle of them.

Lucifer looked at Zero and smiled followed by a chuckle. "Hey watch this" he mumbled as he tapped his finger nail against the glass and whistled to the blonde haired man who turned around and stared at him.

"Hey young lady, can we get a beer for my friend"

The blonde haired man grabbed a glass from the shelf and slammed it on the counter, pouring the beer and sliding it over to Zero who caught it before it could spill.

Just than a tall, thin man with long brown hair and dark blue eyes walked in the bar. He was shirtless and wore black jeans. His eyes scanned the bar and the people who stared at him. He locked eyes with the blonde haired bar tender and smiled a smile of hunger before the blonde haired guy took off to the back room behind the bar.

The tall man licked his lips with a smile before fast walking over to the bar and jumping over, following him back into the room.

The tall man slammed the door shut before there was silence.

30 minutes passed by and the tall man walked out with a smile on his face and the blonde haired man walked out with bruises all over his face.

The tall man sat down next to Lucifer.

"I haven't seen you in ages, where have you been my guy?"

Lucifer glanced at the blonde haired man who now refused to make eye contact than back at the brown haired man.

"What happened between you and pretty boy?" Asked Lucifer with a concerned look.

"He talks shit and doesn't know how to back it up that's what happened" he said as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it while it was between his lips.

"Zero this is Loki, Loki this is Zero"

Loki glanced over at Zero and cocked his head as if to say hi and Zero cleared his throat and mumbled a very calm hello before going back to his daze as he calmly sipped at his beer.
