Athan's POV

I made it to about the middle of the forests and stopped for a rest.

I glanced down at the small girl who was strapped to my chest.

"Are you hungry, you look sick" I asked as she stared off into space with dried tears soaking her palish gray face.

She nodded her head and I pulled bread from my bag and handed it to her to eat. She ate it as if she hadn't had anything to eat in years.

I handed her another large piece of bread and she too finished that within seconds.

I was completely exhausted and looked to the starry sky above beginning to pray to what ever spirits or Gods were around. I didn't even believe in such things as Gods but I quickly got my answer when I saw flames engulfing the trees around me.

The same fire spirit from 2 years ago appeared before my eyes and I rubbed my eyes to make sure what I was seeing was correct. She stared at me from a distance and spoke with a voice of raging fire.

"You have summoned me" she said with total power.

I fell to my knees and bowed in her presence out of fear of her fury.

"Stand to your feet, you are my equal son of blood" she said holding her head high with power as her flames subsided.

I slowly came to a one knee kneel and than finally standing tall with my head bowed in her presence.

"Lady of fire, I seek your help"

She extinguished her flames and turned into a tan faced women with long orange hair that dragged against the dirt as she walked over to me.

"I have guided you ever sense you have been a child my dear vampire" she said as she rested her hand upon my back. I looked up at her face and her eyes were a deep and bright yellowish orange.

She looked down at the child I carried on my chest and the child's face illuminated with joy as she did.

"You are with child I see" she said as she smoothed the child's hair down and washed her face with water that she seemed to conjure up from nothing at all.

"Unbind the child and I shall take her home, I will return within a few hours to where ever you are, your friends are in great danger and you must open your senses and go to them with great speed"

I quickly unbound the child from my chest and handed her off to the tan faced women of fire. She grabbed her by the hand and slowly walked off with the child. The child turned to me with a warm smile.

"Thank you" she said with a twinkle in her eyes. Before calmly and happily walking off with the spirit of fire"

I knelt down and closed my eyes as I dug my hands into the soul below.

I could see the vision of my friends who were being tormented by a cult. I saw the image of Zero who shielded Lauren with his own body and there was a knife that was plunged into his back. Blood ran down the corners of his mouth and Lucifer chopped off the head of a man who had tried to hurt Mara.

Cains face was black and blue but he was holding Heaven for dear life as a means to protect her. Lucifer was tired and scared but his eyes held a fury that I have never seen on him before as he guarded Drake who's eyes hung from his head.

I could smell their blood and their fear as I stood to my feet and ran as fast as I could through the forest to where their scents were.

Within just an hour I made it where they were and the cult men weren't expecting to see me a merge from the forest.

I stood tall and anger flashed through my eyes as I saw the face of Heaven starring right at me.

I shot my eyes at the man who held her by the neck. With my stare he wasn't able to move and he gasped in shock at just my presence.

With a bright flash the trees all around them caught fire forming a circle of fire around everybody.

The cult men stared at me with fear and fell to their knees before me as I slowly walked through the flames.

The smell of death and blood filled the twilight air as Lucifer cried out tears of pure sorrow.

"Zero is dead" he sobbed as he knelt beside the large man who still laid with a death grip over the small girl who was Lauren.

Lauren sobbed and held his head as his pale face laid against her cheek.

I walked over to Zero and placed my hand upon his face that was ice cold to the touch.

"He needs to be turned, it's the only way he will survive, but he can't be turned into a full vampire. He has to have half human blood and half vampire blood" I said as I quickly sliced my wrists open to let the black vampire blood flow from the veins.

I handed the blade to Lucifer who didn't even think before slicing his own wrists letting the red human blood escape.

We both leaned over his body and let our blood pour into his mouth. We watched for a reaction and within a few minutes he shot his eyes open and he began violently puking. He stared up at us with purplish blue eyes that glowed brighter than anything I've ever seen. He than glanced down at Lauren with panic and held her face with his giant hands.

"I I is she ok, is she alive?" He asked as he stared into her eyes that looked into his.

Just than he fell over and began violently twitching and screaming in agony as the vampire blood made its way through his veins.

The cult men were still unable to move and kneeled like statues. Only their scared eyes moved in frantic motions.

I glanced at Mara who sat shaking in fear and than back at the motionless men.

"I will be back for every single one of you, you can bet your ass that, and if you try to run it will be even worse so I advise you just sit and wait for the death that's coming, hell I might not even kill you. I might just put you all through the same torture" I said as I lifted Zero's struggling body into my arms.

He was freezing cold, he was so cold and dripping with sweat that I was surprised his face wasn't lined with ice.

We ran all the way to the middle of the Forrest and I laid my hands over his wounds, healing them on sight.

He finally stopped twitching but violently shivered as the veins in his face were blue with sickness.

He never took his eyes off Lauren and this was making him sicker with worry for her.
