Chapter 60

|Vanessa POV|

"Really asshole?" I glared at Jack.

"It's funny that you think I'm kidding. If I wanted you, I would have already had you," he scoffed.

"In your dreams!" I said twirling my pencil in my fingers, "we need to get back to work." The comment Jack made was starting to get to me. Did he new what he said it was he trying to get to me? Was I really that clueless? Were there things, I couldn't see that others could? Was Chris really using me? At this point I was pissed off.

"Vanessa? Vanessa? Vanessa." Jack called.

"Yeah?" I snapped out of my trance.

"It's getting late, you should probably get going." he ushered.

"Yeah... Ok..." I grabbed my books and headed out the front door.

Once I reached my house, Matt's car sat in the driveway. I wanted to hit it with a gulf club, but decided I better not. As I enter, it smelled strongly of alcohol and weed. I found Mahogany on the ground unconscious and Matt on the couch to high to even notice me in the house. I called for Nash, but there was no answer. I climbed the stairs while dialing 911. I peered into Nash's room finding him kissing Karisma. At first I was confused, then they noticed me.

"What the hell, Vanessa?" Nash shouted. Karisma gave me the finger. I started crying, I dropped my phone and ran into my room locking the door behind. I didn't know who I could trust anymore. I screamed profanities into my pillow and started throwing at stuff till I noticed Skylynn. She was curled up in the corner whimpering.

"Sky, it's gonna be ok," I kissed her forehead. Her whimpers turned into tears. I held her close to chest cradling her like the baby she is. That's when I noticed the gash in her back. I went back into the hallway and Nash was in his room throw stuff and mumbling things I could hear. I picked my phone up an called 911. Once they arrived Nash and I sat in the ambulance with Skylynn in silence. no eye contact was made.

After Skylynn was stitched and bandaged up Nash drove us home. That's when I saw my mom standing in the doorway. I knew I was going to get it, even though it wasn't my fault.

"It wasn't Vanessa's fault, It was mine," Nash said as we walked up to her. Her eyes were glazed over like a part of her was missing. I confused and worried for our safety.

"Vanessa, we can't stay here," a voice I assumed was Nash said. I should have listened. My mom ha a fit she slapped me and I felt the tears well up in my eyes. Nash stepped infront of me holding my body tight. My mother was threatening both of us now. I was scared for her sanity. Skylynn cowered being me and Nash's arms never let go of me. Of all of the hell I been through with him, I knew that he would fix it up no matter how long it took. That was the Nash I knew, the Nash I loved.

Another update came your way. Can you guess what Jack told Vanessa, since I never actually said it. I'm sorry I haven't updated in to so long, I just have been really busy. Honestly. Usually I would tell you how crappy my story is but today I want to shout-out to, cassidym1015 for telling me I should write an epilogue. Well, as much as I hate to say this, but Mahogany and Me will officially becoming to an end soon. I have been debating this for a loooooooooooooong time now, and I think it is the best thing to do. If you still want to read my fanfics, I am starting a new one called Stitches, and I would live your input. Thank you for all the support. I also want a cover for Stitches, so I am having a contest.
