Chapter 45

Vanessa POV

I walked home alone. I had no idea where Matt was and I wasn't really interested in knowing. I miss walking and talking to Jack. I turned around to head back to school. When I turned around I saw Matt and a brunette with the name of Ruby making out by the stop sign. The only way to get to the school was to pass that sign, but it would be to awkward. Then I thought they are too busy to notice me anyway.

I walked past and Ruby gasped.

"Shit!" I whispered under my breath. I pulled my beanie over my face and started to run.

"Hey!" Matt shouted from behind me and that's when I hit a sturdy figure.

"Vanessa?" a familiar voice said from above me. I pulled my beanie out from over my eyes.

"Jack!" I yelled giving him a hug. He didn't hug back. I opened my eyes to see the blonde that must be his girlfriend.

"Oh... You too..." I said turning around. I could hear the blonde chuck lying from behind me.

"Cut that out Sarah!" Jack said trying to whisper. I kept walking straight passed the making out Matt and Ruby and straight home. When I opened the door no one answered me. I went up to my room to see Skylynn sitting on my bed watching My Little Ponies. I personally hated this show, but I couldn't kick her out. I sat down at my desk and started my homework.

"Vanessa!" Skylynn screamed once she saw me.

"Hey Sky! How was your day?"

"Good kindergarten has the hardest homework in the whole gigantic world!" I chuckled when she said this. A few hours passed and Skylynn went to her room because it was almost bed time and I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling. No one bothered to ask me. If I was ok or if I wanted dinner.
