Chapter 26

Vanessa POV

It's been 2 months since Nash's death. His funeral is tonight and I can't bring myself to believe all of this is real. After his death everyone went their seprate ways. I haven't seen MagCon since the accident. They all changed and have girlfriends and new friends and me I'm just a loner that sulks in a corner. Mahogany, Ari, my best friend, and me are the only single ones. The funeral is in North Carolina and we drove 8 hours just to get here and not one single "hello" of "hey how ya doing" from one single person. Nash's mom wanted me to write a memorial for Nash and I felt forced to do it. His friends and family know me, but it is way to hard to read this infront of people.

All the black was making me really dizzy and I truly wasn't ready to read my memorial. The first person to read was his mom. Her speech was long and lingering. It felt as if it lasted forever. I was after Hayes and right now Will was up. his speech was short and sweet. Nothing great really. Now it was Hayes... My body was trembling and I felt like I was going to throw-up. Soon Hayes was finished and they were clapping and crying, now it was my turn, my turn to be strong.

"Hello everyone, my name is Vanessa for those of you who didn't know. I have been friends with Nash since I was a baby... I don't know exactly when. We would play games that other kids wouldn't think of, our favorite game of all was Truth or Dare, it helped us get to conclude our fears and get to know each other more. We were "Two Peas in a Pod". Once we started high school and my sister and Nash became famous, I started cutting, I always felt like the world was beating me down, but Nash always told me to stay strong. Now it's my turn. My turn to be strong. Be strong for Nash the same.ways he's been strong for me even after the accident. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul ans makes us reach for more. I wanted you all to know I loved Nash Grier and this exactly what he told me before he passed-- "Love, it never dies, it never goes away, it never fades, so as long as you hold onto it. Love can make you immortal." That is how I know Nash is always right next to me... Where ever I go... Thank you. "

Everyone was clapping and overwelmed by what I just read them. I was feeling light headed and just want to go home. Before I thought I was going to fall Ari caught me and walked me away from the crowd.

"That was amazing!"

"Not so sure about that... I feel sick..."

"Then we'll go home.. let me go get Mahogany."

"Ok, thanks..."

I was sitting waiting for Ari and Mahogany when Hayes sat down next to me. I tried not to make eye contact cause I really wasn't in the mood for a conversation. Plus, I already knew about his popstar girlfriend Madison Beer.

"Ummmm.. Hi.."

"Hi"

"My mom wanted me to interact with people besides Madi, and your the only other person I actually like."

Madi! MADI! They have cute little nicknames for each OTHER!!! Lord HELP me!!

"Nice to know you care..''

''I can't stop thinking about the night that you kissed me"

"Then I left you so get over yourself... You have a girlfriend, plus i have to go.. Interact with someone who will actually want to here about your live life...!"

"Wait!!'

"No! Leave me alone Hayes! I don't want to see your face ever again!"
