Chapter 46

Vanessa POV

I opened my window and stepped out onto my balcony. A cold breeze hit my face as I looked out to see Jack Johnson sitting on my lawn chair.

"Jack?" I said confused.

"Vanessa! I thought you never answer!"

"Do you wanna come in? Its a little cold outside."

"I don't want to impose..." he said genuinely.

"Come on!" I said showing him to the ladder that I use to get into my room. He climbed over the rail and collapsed on the ground.

"Hey!" he said finally getting up.

"Hi!"

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime?" his eyes were pleading.

"I'd love too!" I said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. I was sloppy, but nice. It was bitter, but sweet. It was perfect. He finally pulled away.

"Tomorrow at 7!" he said jumping out the window. I fell backwards on my bed and smiled at the ceiling. Slowly falling asleep.

I woke up to my alarm. I rolled out of bed and head to the shower. It was cold at first and right when I decided to get out it became hot. I trudged to my closest and threw my uniform on, I had no time to do my hair so I threw it into a mess bun and ran out the door. Like yesterday Matt stood leaning against my mailbox, but this time he had no headphones. I grabbed my penny board from the garage and grabbed Matt's arm and started skating. I almost got us killed, but I didn't stop I kept heading straight for school.
