POV - Narrator:

The two Anbu were alert and guarded the cave exit like their life depended on it. They were dedicated and determined to keep Y/n from coming out of the cave.

But Y/n was even more determined. She didn't want to be caged and for the first time, she was willing to fully defy her sister's orders.

"I don't think Lady Mizukage should've appointed us to watch her younger sister. Is Lady Y/n really going to try to escape?" asked one of the Anbu.

"You're new, right? If you knew Lady Y/n from when she was younger, you'll know she's always wanted to do things her way which her sister never allowed."

Just then, they both stopped talking because they noticed something had been thrown towards them. It came from inside of the cave. The thing was sphere-shaped and both Anbu immediately understood what it was. "Smoke bomb!" one shouted as they both tried to back away.

Just before they were able to get out of range, the smoke bomb detonated, releasing a smokescreen. They both noticed Y/n jump out from the smoke. She was in midair as she began doing hand signs. "Hyoro no Jutsu!" she shouted. She used ice release to create an ice prison.

Both of the Anbu were frozen in ice. Out of all three of the kekkei genkai  Y/n possessed, this was her weakest since she didn't have much practice. There wasn't anyone else in the village that possessed this trait. The other people who did were either in hiding or had been killed.

One of the Anbu tried to move their arms to weave the signs for the Dragon Fire Technique. "I promise the ice won't trap you forever! I've made sure to leave enough air in there for you so by the time the ice melts, you won't have died from suffocation," she shouted, making sure they were able to hear. "Sorry guys! When my sister scolds me, I'll make sure to tell her you guys did your best to keep me from getting out of the cave."

Y/n couldn't see their expressions since they were wearing masks, but she was sure that they were pissed. She ran off towards the village, leaving the Anbu behind.

"It's a good thing we got these disguises that will help us to blend in better," Kisame said. He referred to the new outfits they had just stolen off of someone's air drying rack. "But, do we seriously have to keep these masks on?" Kisame asked Itachi.

"Yes, some of the people in the village may recognize you or me. We have to lay low. I'm also repressing our chakras for that very same reason."

Kisame and Itachi were both wearing the Mist Anbu uniform along with a unique mask that each Mist Anbu gets. "This uniform brings back bad memories," Itachi told his partner.

"Does it remind you of your life at the Hidden Leaf?"

"Yeah."

All the people who walked by them failed to realize that these two Anbu were S-ranked criminals. They both walked for a while, scouring and checking their surroundings to see if the six-tails jinchuriki was anywhere nearby.

Itachi kept walking but then he noticed Kisame had halted. Kisame was staring at a seafood restaurant. His mouth watered as he looked at the menu options that were posted on the outside of the restaurant.

"Kisame, don't get sidetracked."

"I know, I know. It's just that this was one of my favorite places to eat when I lived here. And it doesn't serve any shark dishes as a way to respect the Hoshigaki clan."

"Well, we don't have time."

"Can we just get some food from here? I love their food and it's so nostalgic. I promise I'll make it quick." Kisame pouted—an expression Itachi never thought he would see Kisame make.
