I woke up in my sister's arms, not sure where I was. Her worried face was the first thing I saw when I woke up. "She's awake!" my sister said loudly out of relief. "Y/n, how are you feeling?" asked my sister.
"I'm feeling okay. Just a bit sore." I rubbed my back as I got up. I saw Hangetsu healing Ao a few feet away. I noticed bruises on Mei's shoulder. Chojuro seemed okay, although he wasn't unscathed. "Where did they go?" I wondered, stretching my arms out as I looked around for the Akatsuki.
"They left after they weakened us heavily." my sister answered.
"They took a lot of damage themselves too. I think they were at their limit." Chojuro added.
"Did they get any information about the six-tails?" I asked. Mei let out a sigh. Everyone looked beaten down after I said that.
"Yes. They know the six-tails jinchuriki has gone rogue. There's no telling when they may find him. If he was still in the village, we'd be able to protect him." Mei put a hand on her forehead. I could tell she was stressed and worried.
I was going to ask my sister why they didn't take the chance to abduct me, but I realized that she may not know that I was one of their new targets. I stood up and ran over to Han. "Y/n, I haven't fully healed you. Don't run while you're still weak!" she yelled as I went to Han.
I bent down on my knees and sat next to him. "Han... thanks for saving me earlier," I said, wrapping my hands around his waist to hug him.
"Hey, I'm trying to heal Ao," I chuckled at the sight of his flushed face.
"Are you flustered?" I wondered, trying to act clueless.
"Maybe I am..." He inched closer, making his face closer to mine. I blushed at his boldness.
"Um... I don't mean to ruin the moment but I think you may have forgotten I'm still here." Ao pointed out. I hadn't realized he was conscious. I blushed even harder—this time out of embarrassment. Han and I instantly backed away from each other.
"Sorry, Ao. I didn't know you were awake." I apologized, rubbing my nape.
"It's fine. We all get carried away sometimes... Especially when you're in love."
"Oh, no. You've got it wrong. We're not in love. It's just playful teasing." I completely shut away from the idea of being in love.
"Is it though?" Han doubted, looking down at Ao's wound as he healed it.
I paused for a second, not knowing what to say. "I don't know... We could talk about that later... Ao, could you cover your ears for a second? I gotta ask Han something."
"Okay, I won't listen to what you guys are going to say." He placed his hands on his ears.
"Han, that thing Itachi said earlier. Can you not tell my sister about it." I asked in a quiet calm voice.
He turned his head to look at me. "Why?" he questioned. His mood was off. He wasn't bright like his usual self. He looked unhappy.
"Because if you were to tell her that the Akatsuki would abduct me if they had the chance, she would be even more strict and I'd lose all hope of ever going outside of the village."
"Okay, I'll keep it a secret."
I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank yo—"
Han grasped my hand, looked into my eyes with his light purple eyes. This time he was even closer than before. "But, you have to promise me we'll talk about and discuss our feelings soon. You always say we will later, but whenever I confront you about it, you immediately shut down the topic," he said, frustrated.
"Okay, I promise we'll talk about it one day..." A faint smile appeared on his face.
"Can I open my ears now?" Ao asked. When he stopped talking, I completely forgot that he's even there.
I nodded.
I felt a slight water droplet fall on my shoulder. I looked up and out of the sky came rushing millions of tiny droplets of water. They crashed onto the dirt ground, wetting it and creating mud.

POV - Narrator:
Nearby, Itachi and Kisame walked through the forest outside of the Hidden Mist village. The rain was a bit heavier where they were than it was in Kirigakure. "Well, that mission was a complete bust. We didn't find the six-tails jinchuriki and we weren't able to capture the giant bounty that was practically served to us on a silver platter." Kisame complained, now soaking wet.
"At least we got some information about the six-tails. No one knew that the six-tails jinchuriki abandoned his village." Itachi pointed out. "Also, I'm pretty sure we'll come across Y/n again," He grinned. He was already thinking about the jutsus he would use the next time he fought her.
"It's rare for you to be excited about these kinds of things," Kisame said.
"I've never met an ice user. Her power fascinates me." He pushed back his hair in an attempt to get some of the rainwater out of it.
"You sound like Orochimaru—" Kisame then remembered something. "Oh, yeah. What are we going to do about our robes and clothing? We left them back in the village and now we're stuck with these mist Anbu uniforms."
"We obviously can't go back to the Hidden Mist Village, right now. I guess we'll just have new ones made." Itachi replied.
