POV - Y/n:
I was trapped in an inescapable and long dream. I couldn't shake the paranoia even there. I was fully conscious although I couldn't move at all. I wanted to get out of there... I needed to.
Itachi had put me under one of his most powerful yet underestimated dojutsu; Tsukuyomi. The jutsu was used to make the opponent's body fall into a dream-like state, causing them to be completely vulnerable to the user. It could also be used to send opponents into a sleeping state—which was what Itachi had done. I didn't know how long it would be until I woke up. All I could do was scream inside, urging my body to wake up quickly. Please... wake up... I can't wait here... Please...
POV - Narrator:
An hour had passed since Y/n and Itachi had diverged paths, their ultimate regrets and woes becoming even more known. Both in a state of desperation called out to each other in their hearts. Every beat panged their souls. Y/n held onto her weak consciousness, slipping away by the second.
Itachi continued on his path that would lead to the fated battle between two brothers; the two sides of the same coin. Drastically different yet linked.

Sitting on his throne before Sasuke showed up, Itachi once more thought of Y/n. I've done too much wrong... I've strayed. He rested his forehead on his hand.
He and Kisame were in the Uchiha hideout built on the terraced mountain close to Konoha. Itachi waited in anticipation for his younger brother. Although he was sure of himself, he knew he would lose.
Footsteps echoed in the building as Itachi waited. A calm black-haired teenage boy appeared out of the shadows. He looked up, directly meeting Itachi's eye level. Itachi looked down on his brother from the throne he was sitting on.
Without any introductions or greetings, Itachi jumped onto a rather unexpected question.
"How much can you see with that Sharingan of yours?" he asked.
The brothers gave each other death glares, showing their ill intentions toward the other. They were here for one reason and one reason only; not a bittersweet reunion. The intention to kill coursed through their veins.
Passion and a desire to win were things Sasuke possessed deeply. "How much can I see with these?" Sasuke said rhetorically. "What I'm seeing right now, Itachi, is you dead at my feet," he continued confidently. Sasuke's bloodlust increased exponentially at that moment.
"You see me dead, do you? Well then..." Itachi disappeared from his throne, appearing right beside his brother. "Go on. Make it happen." Itachi remembered Y/n one more time before engaging.
Sasuke smirked before the brothers instantly exchanged blows, signifying the beginning of a heavy and deadly fight. The fight would only end when one would be left standing, the other having to fall to his death.
Little did Sasuke know that the fight would start at a clear advantage for Itachi.

You should've never fallen, Itachi... Kisame thought as he held back Hebi, the team Sasuke had formed to aid him in locating Itachi.
As he fought Suigetsu, a distant relative of Hangetsu, he thought of what was going through Itachi's mind right now. You were always too selfless. You tried to hide it, Itachi. But I know, you're aching. You're wishing you could be selfish, especially now. You were never fit to be a part of this villain group.
