While Tina cried to herself, Santana said to her, "You know what, girl Chang? If you cry every time someone gets a hangnail, it kind of starts to lose its effect."Tina told her, "It's not a hangnail. Mercedes was one of Glee's original members. I feel naked in here without her."
Noah replied, "Yeah, well, get used to it, 'cause without her singing for us, we're going to have to perform naked for the judges to vote for us at Sectionals."
While Christian only raised his eyebrows in response, Mr. Schuester said to them, "No. I will not let this setback crush our spirits. I mean, we have handled worse."
While Christian 'yeah, like your singing and dancing', Mike asked him, "Than losing one of our best singers?"
Quinn said to Mr. Schuester, "Kind of hard not to blame you, Mr. Shue. Think you were too hard on her at Booty Camp."
With a shrug of his shoulders, Christian said, "Plus there's also the fact that just about every single time someone wants to sing some solo at some competition or whatnot, you always give it to Rachel, simply because if you don't, she throws a frickin' fit and either manipulates you into giving her the solo or just threatens to quit the Glee Club."
Just as Mr. Schuester was about to respond, Tina said, "I blame Artie. Why couldn't you have just given Maria to Mercedes?"
Artie told her, "Because that would have damaged my integrity as an artist."
While Christian only scoffed in response, Rachel quickly entered the choir room as she said, "Sorry I am late. I was putting up posters for my... for my campaign."
Kurt asked her, "Did you airbrush out your jowls?"
While Christian simply chuckled to himself in response and Rachel said 'no', Finn said to them as he got up from his seat, "Look, let's stop it, everybody. So we lost a singer. So they canceled the musical."
It was then that Rachel stood up and said, "Wait, what? No, no, no, no. You can't cancel my musical."
While Christian and Gabrielle rolled their eyes in response, Mike told Rachel, "Sue cut the funding."
Finn said to them as Rachel sat back down into her seat, "The point is, right now, we shouldn't be turning on each other."
Blaine replied, "I agree. I can only speak from my experience with the Warblers, but no show choir is just one person; it's a team. When we lost a Warbler, we just replaced him with another one."
With a nod of his head, Christian said, "Yeah, you tell him, Anderson."
Just as Blaine was about to respond to Christian, Finn said to Blaine, "Which is easy when your waiting list has a waiting list. Dude, I know you're a big deal at Dalton or whatever, but we don't wear blazers here, so have a seat-- I'm trying to give a pep talk."
