///SUPER SHORT chapter!!! Yay @lennox my angel///
WEDNESDAY 2/11
"Lennox! Hey, Lennox!"
Harleigh Wren fucking Queen screamed my name down the crowded freshmen hallway and chased after me, her tall, dark brown boots clicking against the tile flooring.
"Hi Harleigh!"
She hugged me. "Lennox. That's your name, right? It's Lennox Campbell?"
I nodded. How could she have not known my name? I literally risked my appetite holding her hair back during her cringe-worthy puke party in her bathroom Saturday. I deserved at least my name in her vocabulary.
"Two things. One: What's your brother's phone number? And two, do you like Nate?"
"Nate?" My mouth went dry.
"Yeah, are you deaf? Do you like him?" She smiled, encouraging me to respond.
I stood there, frozen.
"I take that as a yes?"
"Nate and I- we're... we're just friends."
"Oh my god, both of you guys are in such denial. The way he talks about you, anyone would be convinced that you hung up every star in the damn galaxy or something. And you, I only just briefly mentioned him and you're speechless. It's cute."
"W-what does he say?"
"Lennox, look, you have to make the first move. Boys these days, they don't know what the hell the want. Show him you're what he wants."
"Really?"
"Ask him to hangout after school."
"I really don't-"
"Lennox, the phone number. And do you want to be with him the next four years of high school?"
I know what you're thinking.
Was I really that desperate to take advice from her?

RomanceI thought I had done a particularly impressive job at flying under the radar for almost all four years of high school. That is until, Sterling City's very own 'it girl' Harleigh Wren Queen, invited me to a party.
