Chapter 3

Baji Kohaku P.O.V.

"Why are you hidden away?" I raise my head slightly. I hesitate for a second. "I'm not" I say after a while. "You are" Mitsuya says as he appears in front of me. "You're that afraid to admit that you had fun last night?" Mitsuya asks teasingly while he grins. "I'm not afraid of that. I was in charge of cleaning out the art supplies closet and I procrastinated" I say. Mitsuya leans against the doorway of the closet when he looks at me. "So you had fun?" He asks. "It was alright" I say. "Just alright huh?" Mitsuya asks grinning. I sigh deeply and smile at Mitsuya. "It was fun enough. But I don't think I'll be coming more often" I say. "Why?" Mitsuya asks. I chuckle. "You don't give up, do you?" I ask. "Wasn't planning to. Not unless you have a good reason" he says. "Are you sure you want to know?" I ask. "I am" Mitsuya says. I grab his shirt and pull him inside the closet before closing the door. "Do you still want to know?" I ask. Mitsuya grins. "I think I already do" he says, lowering his voice. I scoff slightly. "Is that so?" I ask. This time Mitsuya pulls me toward him, until his lips touch mine. "I bet you weren't expecting that" he says as our lips part. "I wasn't..." I say, still a little stunned. "So. You've got nothing to worry about." Mitsuya says. "Easy for you to say. You started it.." I say. "I can protect you, just join second devision" Mitsuya says. I chuckle. "I don't need your protection, and I'm not going to join Takashi-kun" I say. "Hmm that's too bad. I was looking forward to seeing you more often" he says. I hesitate for a second. "You still can" I say softly. Mitsuya blinks surprised and then smiles. "Good to know" he says. He pulls me in for another kiss, and this time I close my eyes and do kiss back. "Good to know" he whispers against my lips before slipping something in my pocket and backing up. "See you around" he says as he leaves the closet. I blush heavily as I touch my lips with my fingertip. Did he just steal my first kiss like this? I reach into my pocket and take out the note he put in. I smile when it's his cellphone number.

I look up from my drawing and click my tongue annoyed when everyone is scattered around. I drift my eyes to Mikey for a second before turning back to my drawing. That is until I feel two forearms against my back. "How come you're able to draw this kind of detail when everyone is scattered around?" Mitsuya asks. I pull a picture from underneath the last page of my sketchbook. "When did you take this?" He asks when he takes it. "Last time I was here" I say. "Smart" Mitsuya chuckles. "Is this for an assignment?" He asks. "I don't know yet" I say. I then raise my head. "You've got a lot of members, don't you?" I ask. "Hm yeah we've grown a lot over the years" Mitsuya says. "Why so curious all of a sudden? You want to join?" Mitsuya asks and I feel him leaning more against me. I get goosebumps when I feel his breath against my ear. "I don't" I say dryly. "Taka-chan, what are you doing?" A tall teenager with a crew cut with a pattern on the side walks up. "Taka-chan?" I repeat grinning. "I was looking at Kohaku's drawing" Mitsuya says, taking his forearms from my back and putting his hands there instead. "Kohaku?" The guy asks. He looks at me, then at Keisuke, then back at me. "Huh?" He says confused. "It's Baji's twin brother Hakkai" Mitsuya says dryly. I close my sketchbook and stand up. "I'm going to head home" I say, taking the picture from Mitsuya. "Why?" He asks immediately. "Because I got shit to do" I say amused. "Want me to drive you home?" Mitsuya asks. "No need" I say. "Keisuke!" I shout. Keisuke looks up. "I'm going to head home" I shout. He waves. "Bye Kochin!" Mikey says cheerily. "Let me drive you, I have to head home anyway" Mitsuya says, glancing at his watch. "If you insist" I say. Mitsuya runs at Mikey for a second before coming back. "Come on" he says and I follow him to his motorcycle. "Don't you have a bike? Baji has one" Mitsuya says. "We're supposed to share it.. but I just let him use it" I say as I step on the back. Mitsuya drives fast, so we're at my house quick. "Thanks for the ride. See you at school" I say. "You're welcome. Looking forward to it" Mitsuya says with an amused smile before he drives away.

Keisuke slams open my bedroom door just as I tie my hair into a bun after changing into my pajamas. "Okaeri" I say dryly. He immediately grins teasingly. "What do you want?" I ask. "You like Mitsuya" he says. "What makes you think that?" I ask as I walk past him toward the bathroom. Unfortunately Keisuke follows me. "You're a loner, you don't like people hanging around you. Especially when you're drawing. You allowed Mitsuya to hang around you, even touch you. That's something even I can't do" Keisuke says. "He's quite handsome" I say as I turn on the faucet to wash my face. "Just handsome huh?" Keisuke asks as he leans against the doorway. I don't respond as I wash my face. "Would you mind?" I ask as I dry my face with a towel. "I don't. I'm not sure he's into men though" Keisuke says. "This is exactly the reason why I don't want to join Toman, Kei." I say as I apply face cream. "I'm sorry" Keisuke says. "But I do think Mitsuya is into men" I add. "Hmm why?" Keisuke asks. "He kissed me yesterday at school" I say as I put toothpaste in my toothbrush and start brushing my teeth. Keisuke grins. "In that case good for you" he says. I look at him annoyed as I brush my teeth. "But don't start anything okay? I don't know where this is going or what his orientation is" I say after spitting out the toothpaste. "I won't, I won't" Keisuke says. I don't respond as I rinse my toothbrush and put it back. "I'm happy for you Ko, I hope it works out. Mitsuya is a good guy" Keisuke says smiling. "Thanks" I say hesitantly. "This doesn't mean I'll come more often, or suddenly join Toman" I say. "Aww why not?" Keisuke asks grinning. "Like you said, I'm a loner. I don't like people hanging around me" I say walking past him back to my room. "You still have to finish your drawing" Keisuke says as he follows me. "I will. I'm not in a rush with it" I say stepping into my bed. "Was there anything else or can I go to sleep?" I ask as I set my alarm clock. "Already?" Keisuke asks surprised. "It's not early Kei, and I have a test tomorrow" I answer annoyed. "So bye"
