Baji Kohaku P.O.V.

I lift Yua from her bed. "Did you have a good nap?" I ask, putting her against my chest. She nods rubbing her eyes. She doesn't like waking up. I chuckle softly, then turn around and leave the room. "How about I make you a snack?" I say. Yua nods sleepily. The doorbel rings as I walk down the stairs so with Yua on my arm I open the door. It's Ran with the most innocent smile he can manage. "Hey baby...." He says. I don't respond. "I got you something" he says, handing me a small box. I look at it and even without opening it I can see that it's candied grapes and strawberries. I look at Ran again. "Can I come in?" He asks. "I'm babysitting Yua" I say. "Doesn't matter. We can watch her together" he says, already taking a step toward me, making him stand very close in front of me. "Can't we, Yua-chan?" Ran asks playfully. Yua leans her head against my shoulder and nods. "See?" He asks. I sigh softly but before I can step aside, to let him in, Ran strokes my cheek. His thumb right underneath the cut. "I'm sorry baby" he says. "I lost my temper, and I shouldn't have" he says. "No, you shouldn't" I say, stepping aside. Ran walks in and closes the door. "I'm sorry. It wont happen again" he says, then softly kisses me. "You'll forgive me, won't you?" He asks innocently. "Ran!" Yua then says. "Hey sweet stuff" Ran says, lifting her from my arm as he kicks of his sneakers. "Did you just wake up or something?" He asks as I put his shoes aside. "Yes, nap time" Yua says, cheerily. "Oh was it nap time?" Ran asks as he walks into the living room. I sigh softly as I hear Yua say. "Yes!". When I walk into the living room I see that Ran sat down, on the couch with Yua on his lap, with her facing him and his hands on her little waist. "Do you want something to drink?" I ask as I put the box with candied fruits on the coffee table. "Please" Ran says. I pour him a glass of soda and grab a juice box for Yua, putting them both on the table. I can't help but smile slightly when I see how good he is with her.

I clean the Baji family grave and put down fresh flowers. "I'm sorry it's been a while." I say softly as I light a incense. "I'm getting by, so you don't have to worry" I add. I smile slightly. "I know, I'm not happy but at this point I don't think I'm allowed to. Genji tries, he really does and I'm grateful." I say. I smile slightly again. "I hope at least that you two are happy together" I whisper and rub the tears from my cheek. "I miss you so much" I mumble, as my fingertips touch the cut on my cheek that's slowly healing. I sigh softly standing up. "I'll come by more often. At least I'll try to" I say. I place my hand on the family gravestone before leaving. I put my hands in my pockets as I leave the graveyard. I'm a little surprised to see my uncle waiting for me at the entrance. "You didn't have to come to pick me up" I say. "I know" he says. "I was paying my respects when I saw you coming, so I thought I'd give you some alone time with them" uncle says. "Thank you" I say, still a little surprised. "There's a nice coffee place nearby. Why don't we have a drink there. I want to talk to you about something" uncle says. "Sure." I say. I follow him, and after we order coffee for him, and hot chocolate for myself, uncle sighs. "I'd rather not ask this, but I promised" he says. I don't know why but it's making me nervous. "Kazutora wants to talk to you" uncle says. I raise my eyebrows slightly. "Why?" I ask. "I'm not sure" Uncle says shrugging. "But lately he keeps dreaming about Keisuke, who is telling him that he needs help. I think he's interpreting it as that you need help" uncle says. "It's perfectly fine if you don't want to, Ko. But I promised I'd give you the message" he says. "I don't know" I say, stroking my hair behind my ear as the waitress brings us our beverages. "Well, take your time to think about it" uncle says. "I already told him that he was probably the last person you wanted help from, which he understood, yet he still wanted to talk to you" he says, as he takes his cup. I sigh taking mine as well. "I don't know. I need to think about it" I say. "That's fine, son. Take your time." uncle says smiling.

I tap my fingertips against one another, as I'm sitting on a fence somewhere in the city. I don't know what to do. I'm so lost. "I've been calling you for a while you know" I blink my eyes to see Mitsuya in front of me. He smiles when he realizes I'm seeing him. "I'm sorry" I say. "What's on your mind?" Mitsuya asks. I sigh deeply. "A lot" I say. He smiles slightly again. "Walk with me" he says. I hesitate for a minute and then jump off the fence and walk with him. For a moment it's silent as we walk, and that's fine. "Do you want to talk about it?" Mitsuya asks. "Not really" I say. "It seems like you need to" Mitsuya says. I don't respond for a while. "It seems like Kazutora wants to talk to me" I say. Mitsuya raises his eyebrows. "How do you know this?" He asks. "My uncle works as a psychiatrists at the facility where he's at" I say. "That must be hard..." Mitsuya says. I nod. "I don't know what to do" I sigh. "I'm hurting enough as it is" I add. "Still huh?" Mitsuya whispers. I don't respond for a while. "Some days I just feel like I want to die" I mumble.  "If that's how you feel, why in the world would you stay with a guy like Haitani Ran..?" Mitsuya asks as he stops walking. I turn toward him. "He makes me feel happy..most of the times" I say. "I don't think of Kazutora and Keisuke when I look at him. And he sees me. He sees Kohaku and not Keisuke" I say. "I see you" Mitsuya says. "I'm not so sure" I say, shaking my head. "Okay, then let me asks you this. What if Baji was alive. What would he say, if you were with a guy like Haitani Ran?" Mitsuya asks. "Keisuke isn't alive" I say. "Pretend that he is" Mitsuya says. He tilts his head when I don't respond. "That's not fair" I whisper. "It might not be, but it's the truth, isn't it?" He asks. "It doesn't matter" I say shaking my head. "It doesn't?" Mitsuya asks, raising his eyebrows surprised. "Not really. There's nothing I can do" I say. "You can do plenty. Stand up for yourself like you used to for one" Mitsuya says. I smile gently at Mitsuya. "It doesn't matter" I say softly.
