Baji Kohaku P.O.V.
I open the door to Keisuke's bedroom and find him on his bed, turned toward the wall. I frown slightly before walking over and laying down beside him. "What's wrong?" I ask softly. "There's this guy, Kisaki Tetta" Keisuke says softly. "I heard him tell Mikey that he could get Pahchin out of jail, if Mikey made him third devision captain" Keisuke says softly. "That's fucked up" I mumble. "I think Mikey is going to agree, but Pahchin is the captain of the third devision. He should just wait for Pahchin" Keisuke says. I don't respond. "I saw Kazutora" he then says. "So he's out of juvie?" I ask. "Mmhmm" Keisuke says. "I'm going to quit Toman" he adds. I blink surprised. "Why?" I ask. "I need to expose Kisaki Tetta, I can't do that from within Toman" Keisuke says softly. I lean my head against my twin brother. "Isn't there any other way?" I whisper. "I wish there were" Keisuke whispers and I close my eyes when I hear his voice break. I wrap my arms around Keisuke's shoulders. "Don't do anything stupid" I mumble. "I won't" Keisuke says. "And confide in me with every step you take. You can't do this alone" I whisper. "Don't I always?" Keisuke asks. "Promise me" I say. "I promise" he says. I hold my twin brother close. "It's going to be a difficult road, Kei" I say softly. "It's all just so fucked up" Keisuke says and I hear his voice break again. Making me frown slightly. "I'm sorry for putting you in this position, but please don't tell anyone. Not even Mitsuya" Keisuke says. "It's alright, I won't tell anyone" I say. I feel his hands on my forearm. "It's for the best" Keisuke mumbles and it's obvious that he's trying to convince himself more than trying to convince me. "I love you" I say softly. Keisuke scoffs. "How can you love a fool like me?" He asks. "You're my twin brother, my best friend. You're a part of my soul. How can I not love you, idiot?" I say. Keisuke chuckles. "I love you too, Niisan" he says softly. "I'm worried, Kei-kun" I say. "Don't be, Kochan. I'm fine" Keisuke says. "You're not fine" I say. "I'm fine" he says again. "It's going to be alright. I promise." He says. I sigh softly. "It is. Because I'm here" I say.
"What is going on with your brother?" I hear as soon as the classroom door opens. "Pardon?" I ask, raising my head. Mitsuya walks in. "He came to the gathering, which he wasn't allowed to do. He punched Takemichi, then declared that he was quitting Toman and declared himself an enemy of Toman" Mitsuya says. I sigh softly and rub my forehead. "It probably has something to do with Kazutora" I say, looking up at Mitsuya and turning my chair toward him. "Kazutora?" He asks surprised. "He's out of juvie?" He asks. I nod. "Keisuke went to see him the other day. I think he still feels like he's in his debt" I say. "But he did nothing wrong" Mitsuya says softly. "He didn't" I answer. "In my opinion Kazutora dragged Keisuke down with him" I say, looking at Mitsuya again. "But in these matters, my opinion doesn't matter to him. So I don't know whats going on with my brother. I can only guess" I say. I'm sorry, I do know, I just can't tell you. Mitsuya sighs deeply as he runs his hand through his hair. "Just when one fucked up thing ends, the other starts" he sighs. I don't respond for a little while. "I'm sorry" I say. "Hm?" Mitsuya mumbles as he looks at me. "I'm sorry, I'm just frustrated, I didn't mean to take it out on you" he says as he walks over and bends over slightly to press a kiss on my forehead. "Are you alright?" He asks. I nod as I stroke my hair behind my ear. "As long as neither of you asks me to chose a side" I say. Mitsuya smiles. "I'll try" he says before pulling up a chair. "It just sucks, just as Mikey, Draken and Pah, Baji means a lot to me" he says as he runs his hand through his hair again. He then smiles. "I keep forgetting you're a Baji as well" Mitsuya says softly. I smile. "It's alright. You can keep calling him that" I say. "I know it sucks. I get it" I add. Mitsuya looks at my drawing. "What are you making?" He asks. "I tried to draw what you told me. That suit thing?" I say, looking at the drawing. "But it sucks, I know" I mumble embarrassed. Mitsuya rolls his chair toward me. "Not at all" he says, tilting his head. "It's exactly how I pictured it. How about you make the jacket just a little bit longer.."
I feel my heart break in thousand pieces when I see Keisuke on the floor against his bed, his knees pulled up to his chest, and his hands in his hair crying. I quickly walk over and kneel down beside him, wrapping my arms around him. "Shh, it's alright" I whisper, pressing my lips against the top of his head as he grabs my arm. "What happened?" I ask. "I beat him so bad" he cries. "I had to, but he didn't deserve it" Keisuke cries. I frown as I close my eyes. "I had to" he says again. "Shh" I whisper, pulling him closer against me. "Did they at least believe it?" I ask. "Yeah. I'm in Valhalla now" Keisuke sniffles. "Oh Keisuke..." I sigh. "I know" he says, pulling my arm down and wiping his face with his sleeve. "At least use a tissue" I say, taking a handkerchief from my pocket and handing it to Keisuke, which he uses to wipe his face and blow his nose. "Who did you beat?" I ask. "Chifuyu" Keisuke says and I see his eyes filling with tears again. "Is he alright?" I ask. "I don't know" Keisuke says and I hear his voice break again. "Do you want me to find out?" I ask. "No" Keisuke says shaking his head as he leans back against his bed. I don't respond and just look at my brother for minute and see that it's really upsetting to him. "Isn't it too much, Keisuke? You can just quit you know" I say. "There are other ways" I add. "There isn't" Keisuke says, looking at me. I sigh softly and sit down next to him. "It's going to be alright" I say softly as he leans his head on my shoulder, making me lean my head against his. "It has to be" Keisuke whispers. "Why don't you just talk to the others?" I ask. "It won't help" he says. "What makes you think that?" I ask. "You know how they view me, Kohaku.." Keisuke says softly. "What can I do to help?" I ask. "You're already doing it.." Keisuke says. "I don't want you to do this alone" I say. "I've got you" He says. I press another kiss on my brothers head. "You do" I mumble. "I'm not going anywhere"
